I had a rhinoplasty 12 days ago and my nose is super uneven one nostril is bigger than the other. I was wondering if it was due to the fact that it was still swollen or if its the actual shape its gonna be.
Answer: Swelling Hello and thank you for your question. It is very normal to be swollen in the immediate post-operative period. Nasal dorsal swelling usually lasts 6 months. Nasal tip swelling can sometimes take 12 months to fully resolve. I advise patients that the final result of rhinoplasty takes 12 months. I recommend that you return to see your surgeon, as he/she will have a good idea of what to expect in regards to your specific progress, since they can evaluate you in relation to your preoperative appearance.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Answer: 2 weeks after rhinoplasty and my nose is uneven; is this normal? It is too early to judge your final outcome. As you know it takes months for the nose to heal after Rhinoplasty. So, please be patient and follow up with your Surgeon regularly.

It is too early to evaluate your results but there are things you can do to help it heal. First, please relay your concerns to your surgeon. Begin dail light massaging of the nose and upper lip, start at the top and move downward. Also a light massaging of the tissue between the nostrils can be done but gently - it can hurt!! Good luck.

Some advices: Thank you very much for enquire.It's too early to make value judgments with only 2 weeks after a rhinoplasty.Swelling after a rhinoplasty depends of the surgery complexity.In this regard, the nasal swelling Post-op It can last from two weeks to two months.To reduce this swelling, I recommend you perform delicates daily lymphatic drainage massage therapy over the face (around the nose) avoid sun exposure, and take pain/inflamation pills, as your surgeron precribe you.Kind regards, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-

For now, focus on healing, and don't spend a lot of emotional energy worrying about things that will likely improve over time.
