Excellent Surgeon

Dr Uppal was very friendly and knowledgeable from the initial Consultation, he made me feel at ease and answered all my questions, I ended up booking my surgery and going through with it within a month and I’m happy with the initial results. He is always available via WhatsApp and is happy to provide advice/follow ups in person too. I would highly recommend him!

7 days post op - very natural, subtle change.

I was initially a little bit hesitant to get my rhinoplasty done and had just an exploratory conversation with Dr Uppal. He put me very much at ease and explained the procedure in an accessible but detailed manner. My main concerns were downtime and wanting a very natural, subtle change which I'm thankful to say is what I got. I was well looked after

I had a fantastic experience with Mr Uppal. I was well looked after from my consultation all the way through. He did everything to put me at ease, the surgery went smoothly and I am very happy with the result. During my recovering Mr Uppal has always been contactable via WhatsApp if I have any concerns and very quick to get back to me! I would recommend.

Recovery was very easy and swelling and bruising was very minimal

I had a closed septorhinoplasty with Mr Uppal to reduce a dorsal hump and straighten my septum as I struggled to breathe through my left nostril for a long time. The consultation was excellent (I'd had two previous with two different surgeons prior and didn't leave feeling at all sure). He was conscientious, relaxed, welcoming and very thorough, listening to exactly what I wanted to achieve. He took photos and I was able to see a generated review of what the expected outcome would

I had a really good experience

I had a really good experience with Mr Uppal and his team removing a benign bone tumour from my forehead. He clearly explained the procedure and made me feel at ease. It was a really simple process and the results are great with minimal recovery time. After the operation he set up a WhatsApp conversation so I can contact him anytime with questions etc. I should have got it removed year’s ago! Many thanks.

Response from Dr. Rajan Uppal, MBBS, FRCSWe're so pleased to hear that you are happy with the results of your nose surgery. At the 1st consultation I take time to understand your exact needs. Every patient is different. I use your photos to design your new nose on the computer. We send these to you so you have lots of time to make your decision at home in your own time. At the 2nd consultation we go through things again to make sure you understand all the details as well as the risks of surgery. Once you book surgery, you get the close support you need both before and after surgery by text or email. Our support team and hospital pre-assessment will talk to you to discuss any details and make sure you are ready for your operation. On the day of the operation you see me again and have a chance to chat to the anaesthetist Dr Pattison. She has worked with us for 20 years and is very good at putting you at your ease when things can be rather anxious on the day. You go home the same day with a small tape bandage on your nose which can be covered with a mask and sunglasses. We do not use internal bandages up the nose which are uncomfortable and painful to remove. You only need to wear your nose sticky plasters for five days. These fall off easily in the shower or you can see me personally after one week and I will remove them for you in the clinic. You had some swelling but it seems that even after five days you are absolutely delighted with the results of your nose surgery. This is because we use keyhole surgery and micro surgery technology so you have very quick recovery and hardly any swelling. Your operation was particularly challenging as it was a revision operation where you had previously had a Rhinoplasty. I have 30 years experience of this complex operation which is an interplay of anatomy and functional internal surgery for your breathing. We're so pleased that you're happy as we know how much it meant to you. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
