I have a 550 HP implant in both , I wear a 34 Bra band. I can fit about 2 fingers between each in the middle of my chest, if that helps, so they sit a little wide anatomically. I feel they look very wide and big on my chest and make me look square. Any good options for me dress them better, say with a tighter sport bra, or do I need a new BA??
Answer: Revision? It is important to remember that implants do not confer cleavage. Cleavage is conferred by anatomy. Patients with wider set breasts pre-augmentation will have wider set breasts post augmentation.Implant selection does play a role in shape, with lower profile implants being wider and flatter cc for cc than their moderate/mod(+)/high profile counterparts. If you are unhappy with your shape, you might keep that in mind and consider a HP device. You appear to have a very reasonable result for your frame (based on the clothed photos provided). I would recommend you discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).

Answer: Breast augmentation revision Over time breast implants change shape, if they are not the shape you want, consideration for a higher profile less wide implant may give you the result you seek. Best to see a board certified ASAPS plastic surgeon in consultation. A capsulotomy may help your pocket. good luck...

Answer: I feel my boobs are much too wide and look "square”. Do I need a revision? I am sorry to hear about your concerns after breast surgery. I think that you are wise in considering the pros/cons associated with revisionary breast surgery. Generally speaking, I advise patients to carefully consider their degree of concern with the outcome of the initial breast surgery and weigh these concerns against the potential risks/complications associated with the planned revisionary breast surgery. For example, if the patient is concerned about her breast appearance on a daily or frequent basis, it is likely that revisionary surgery will be helpful when it comes to improving her quality of life. On the other hand, if the patient's degree of concern seems minor and/or she is infrequently concerned about the areas of concern, I would recommend against revisionary breast surgery. In other words, whether or not to undergo additional surgery to improve your symmetry ultimately be a personal decision that only you can make after careful consideration of the "degree of concern" versus the downsides associated with additional surgery. It will be important that you have a thorough discussion of potential risks and complications associated with additional surgery as you make your decisions. Your plastic surgeon, knowing your situation best, will be your best resource when it comes to discussing potential risks of complications associated with additional surgery. Best wishes for an outcome that you will be very pleased with long-term.

Answer: Revision surgery Dear IBotMyBody, breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery. Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size. While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

Answer: Breast implants Thank you for your photos. A square or wide breast after implants is sometimes natural depending on your original anatomy, particularly if you have a wide space between your breasts to begin with. During breast implant surgery, the breasts can be made more round by placing the right size and right profile implants. You may benefit from higher profile implants to improve your projection while maintaining a narrow space on your chest. If you have extra bra fat on the sides, this can also be removed with liposuction to improve your overall shape. Hope this helps! Johnson C. Lee, MD Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon
