Initial surgery 18 months ago with 450cc HP silicone unders. I had a capsulorrhaphy 5 weeks ago due to minor bottoming out on the right breast. Surgeon advised he did a minor over correction, as over time it would drop into position. Since it's not a new capsule, I'm worried it won't relax. I'm massaging like crazy (even though it's still a little sore sometimes). Will the drop happen and how long will that take? My original surgery my breasts did the drop and fluff after about 8 months.
Answer: Post Op - Appearance of Breast, Healing and Recovery Hi jsflower, I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast augmentation surgery. However, you are still in the early stages of the healing process at 5 weeks post op. You will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides and the implants drop to their final position, you will be able to see the final result of your breast augmentation surgery. Dropping of implants is part of the healing process and this occurs after the tissues surrounding the implants slowly relax, allowing the implants to settle into their final position. It can take about four to six months for the implant to drop down to their final position. Also, your breasts can drop at different rates. But if you are still concerned, you can always visit your plastic surgeon and discuss your concerns. This way, you will be reassured. Also, if after six months, you are not satisfied with the appearance of your breast, you can visit your plastic surgeon and discuss the possibility of revision surgery. Lastly, follow your plastic surgeons post-operative instructions and advice for faster healing and recovery. Answer: Postop Concerns Good morning! The short answer is maybe- you're still in the early postop period, and if you have seen some movement that's a good sign. However, if it doesn't get properly positioned by 12 weeks then it's unlikely to do so. Definitely touch base with your PS and find out what they want you to do (massage, strap, etc) to make sure it evens out!

Answer: Asymmetry after breast augmentation revision You are still very early in the healing process. Over time the right breast should settle into position. I would give it at least 3 months before taking post-op pictures. Most of the changes will have occurred by then though there may be some subtle changes up until a year after surgery. Keep in contact with your surgeon as he/she knows exactly what was done during surgery.
