Would this size be possible w/o lift? Will this give me a nice outcome? Feel like the extra too big. I need to wait 6-9months to heal from my 1st BA. I have time to research & decide if this is the right choice. (D diameter & P projection) 415cc xtra high profile; D: 11.5CM P: 5.8CM 325cc reg high profile; D: 11.4CM P: 4.8CM **Another alternative could be extra moderate plus profile - 295cc; D: 11.5CM P: 4CM No kids, 27years old, strong skin and no previous sag. Please advise. Thank you.
Answer: The Bellesoma No Vertical Scar Lift The difference in projection between 415 cc and 325 cc would only be 1 centimeter. This is less than ½ inch and would not be noticeable. Many women do not like lifts because of the ugly vertical scars associated with the traditional technique as well as loss of nipple sensation and the inability to breast feed. An alternative to consider is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation and the ability to breast feed are maintained, if not injured during your previous surgery. At the same time or later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Revision Surgery Without posted photos, the benefit of physical exam -it's difficult to give the best answer. Determining the implant style and size is best done during your in person exam. I suggest that you discuss it with your Surgeon

Answer: Implant exchange Dear delamota98,implant profile is a very important consideration. Many patients wrongly assume that the higher the profile the better. The truth is, the more profile (or projection/height) and implant has, the narrower its base has to become. This has several problematic consequences. The first is that the patient loses width and therefor cleavage of the breast. The second is the breast becomes more narrow and pendulous, often falling lateral and onto the side of the chest, and third, high profile implants have a higher risk of bottoming out because they exert more pressure on the inframammary fold than moderate profile implants. High profile implants do have a role in symmastia repair (when I need to narrow the basewidth) but otherwise I try to avoid them.Breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

Answer: Downsizing 415cc Mentor Memory Gel smooth round extra high profile to 325cc regular high profile? Thanks for your question. With no sag, good quality skin, and a small downsize, you can likely get away without needing a lift. I recommend you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon to discuss your goals, examine you, and review before/after photographs to give you a better idea of the type of results you can expect to get. Good luck!

Answer: Downsizing 415cc Mentor Memory Gel smooth round extra high profile to 325cc regular high profile? Thank you for your questions. Some photos of how you look now and how you looked before surgery would be very helpful in the discussion. Generally speaking, a modest downsize in implant can be a straightforward operation. However, you need to discuss this in detail with a plastic surgeon who is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery to make sure you are making good decisions. I find that the extra high profile implants are usually a poor choice for augmentation as they are unnatural in appearance. As for the lift, it depends on your physical exam and skin characteristics among several other factors, but if you are downsizing
