How long does Sculptra take? When do results begin to show and how long?

Sculptras is used to stimulate your body's own gollagen. It takes about 15 minutes to inject and you will see results in about 4-6 weeks. Most patients need 2-4 vial to complete the process and even though Sculptra is indicated for 2 years, we have seen it last up to 8 years.

Scuptra Aesthetic is administered in a series of treatments over three to four months. You start to see your results within that time period. Most of my patients are still pleased with the way they look after 18 to 24 months. I usually recommend touch-up maintenance treatment with 1 – 2 vials at about a year to a year and a half to be sure you continue to look just as great even as you continue to age. Sculptra stimulates collagen in the skin and can be used to subtly volumes the temples and cheeks. The treatment takes approximately 30 minutes or less. Treatments are spaced about 6 weeks apart and may require 2 -3 treatments. Results are about 15% after the first treatment and 80% after the second treatment. Results last about 2 years.

Thank you for sharing your excellent question.  The long term results of Sculptra will take approximately a month to start to develop and can continue for upwards of 6.  Younger patients will tend to have a more rapid onset of results while older patients lean towards the six month mark.  Hope this helps.

Sculptra is a stimulating agent that normally requires a series of treatments to gradually produce added volume to the treated area.  It can take 1-2 months to see the results after a treatment and sometimes it takes more than one treatment session in order to see visible improvement.  Once the desired results are achieved, the improved appearance can last for 2-4 years.  

Thank you for your question. My patients usually come in for a series of treatments spread out in 6 week increments and usually begin to see results within 6-8 weeks of their first treatment. Their results tend to last up to 24 months from their first treatment. When patients come to the office for Sculptra treatments, they are usually here for 45 minutes to 1 hour with the injection portion taking between 20-30 minutes.

Approximately one month after each session with Scultra you should see improved results. It usually takes a series of three sessions spaced one month apart and then you will see the full results. Sculptra results can start appearing 6-12 months after injections. The initial is usually 3 different sets of injections, so your best results will be after the third injections. It will last 1-2 years. Most people get injected with another vial every 1-2 years.

Sculptra results start showing 1-2 months after treatment with results continuing to improve up to 6 months after treatment. Younger patients may see results sooner then older patients.
