Dr. Jennifer Parker Porter is a Double Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon with over 25 years experience. She is the founder of Chevy Chase Facial Plastic Surgery and specializes in rhinoplasty and facial rejuvenation. Natural results are always the goal.
Dr. Porter is one of the best surgeons I have ever worked with. Throughout the entire process I was met with professionalism and kindness. I appreciate how Dr. Porter takes your ethnicity and your facial features into consideration when creating the mock ups. My face looks so balanced and natural, I feel gorgeous and 100% me. I was nervous and emotional about getting a rhinoplasty because it is such a prominent part of your face that you want to make sure that it’s done correctly. I am currently six months out from my procedure and I am LOVING the results (though I know there’s still some healing to go!). Pictures I used to delete because it was a “bad” angle are now some of my favorite pictures to show off my new favorite asset! A huge thank you to Dr. Porter and the amazing people at Chevy Chase Face!
I had an upper bleph with Dr. Porter and have been very pleased with the whole experience. Dr. Porter is so approachable and takes her time answering all questions and detailing what to expect after the surgery and through recovery. Her whole staff has such great attention to detail and are so accessible in case of any questions or concerns. I’ve felt very well-taken care of throughout the process and I’m excited about my results. Dr. Porter did my rhinoplasty about 18 years ago and although I live in Virginia I still drive to her office from time to time for other treatments like injectables and Morpheus. She will always be the person I trust with my face. I highly recommend Dr.Porter!
I recently had a rhinoplasty performed by Dr. Jennifer Parker Porter. I just had my cast removed yesterday, and I am already beyond thrilled with the results. It is the first time in my life I’ve felt confident with my side profile! Dr. Porter is truly the best when it comes to rhinoplasty. The results are natural, refined, and personalized. My mother had a rhinoplasty 20 years ago at practice in a different state. When she saw my initial results her response was “I wish I knew about Dr. Porter when I did mine!” Dr. Porter and her staff were amazing throughout the process. My mom, who accompanied me to the surgery center, said Dr. Porter was actually the only surgeon she saw at the surgery center who came out personally to let a family member know the procedure had gone well. It is the little things like this that show what a kind and truly professional surgeon Dr. Porter is. Her staff is also incredible. Kelly was phenomenal from initial consultation through the procedure. Kelly, Mindy, and Jennifer called me after the procedure to check in with how I was feeling, even checking in Friday afternoon before the office closed to make sure all my questions were answered before the weekend, while ensuring that if anything did come up while the office was closed, I would still be able to reach them. The Pre and post operative directions provided were thorough and clear. I highly recommend Dr. Porter and Chevy Chase Facial Plastic Surgery! I am so beyond happy with my results even in the initial stages. The true professionalism and care of Dr. Porter and her staff is unmatched!
After researching options for rhinoplasty in my area, it became clear that Dr. Porter was not only my best option, but the only option I wanted to pursue. She works with you during the consultation to create a treatment plan that customized to you, so that the end result is a nose that naturally complements your other facial features. She and her staff also work with you during each step of the process from consultation through recovery so that you know exactly what to expect and are completely prepared to maximize your chance for optimal results. I was at ease throughout the entire process, and now 1 month post-op my only regret is waiting as long as I did to have the procedure. I would unequivocally recommend Dr. Porter and her wonderful staff to others.
I had a rhinoplasty done a month ago. I knew I chose the right doctor when I went for my consultation. Dr. Porter is a perfectionist. She made it clear what she could do to meet my expectations, as well as what she wanted my nose to look and not look like. In a way that made me feel like she cared about me being happy longterm and also the craft, detail, and integrity that comes with being a cosmetic surgeon. I feel beautiful. And not only because of the surgery, its because I took the time to find beauty in my insecurities before the surgery. I didnt go to Dr. Porter to make me feel better and more comfortable with my insecurities. I went to her because I wanted the external version of myself to match the internal version of myself and how I felt prior to the surgery. Which is beautiful, whole, and complete. Thank you Dr. Porter and your wonderful staff for making me even more prepared and confident for this new chapter in my life.
My rhinoplasty is a work of art, and better than I ever could have imagined. I initially considered going to a different doctor, only because of pricing, but kept feeling like I wouldn't feel safe with my decision to undergo surgery unless I had her do it (after seeing her work, reading her credentials, etc.). I am so happy with my decision. She is the queen of natural noses! Even the day I got my cast off, people who knew I had work done said they couldn't tell because I was healing so nicely, and my new nose just suited my face perfectly and looked like I was born with it. She and all of her office staff are incredibly kind and attentive. I can't thank her enough.
I wanna first start by saying a big thank you to doctor Porter for even suggesting I should go on Accutane. I was very dibutative because of the side effects, and everything else I read online. She suggested i meet with a dermatologist Dr Bourelly for more information and insight, and subsequently decided to go for it after my rhinoplasty. Wow, what a huge difference it made. It definitely improved and enhanced the results of the surgery. I have to say that this is my 2nd nose job and not my first rodeo lol. By month 2, i could already see a clearer definition and improvement of my oily and thick skin, in comparison to my first bose job. Dr Porter definitely knows her job very well, she listened carefully to me and did her best to five me what I wanted. So I am in month 6 now and I am happy already. So I'm looking forward to year 1 or more to see the full results. I will update you guys. Dr Porter rocks and is the best and oh. Thanks to her entire team
Dr Parker Porter performed an upper blepharoplasty and temporal brow lift on me, and I couldn't be more pleased. I had no post-op pain and minimal bruising. She is a meticulous surgeon with a delightful, warm personality. Her office staff is also lovely. I recommend her with confidence and enthusiasm.
Around 2021, I started to seriously consider rhinoplasty. I was never in love with my nose, but always thought a nose job was not for me, mostly out of concern for getting a nose that didn't fit my ethnic features and/or getting botched, so I just accepted it as one of my not so great features. However, one day, with all the time we all found ourselves with during the pandemic, I decided why not look at making subtle changes to the issues I didn't like about my nose, which for me was my bulbous tip, no real bridge, and slightly flared wide nostrils. So, beginning in 2021, I searched for doctors who notably specialized in ethnic rhinoplasty. After one consultation with a doctor that I didn't think understood what I was looking for, I booked a consultation with Dr. Porter. Dr. Porter was very friendly in the consult, and I liked that she took my feedback regarding the photo mockup and revised it to what I was looking for. She also let me know what I could expect, and what probably wouldn't be dramatically changed (mostly the asymmetry in my nose). I was also impressed with the before and after gallery of other patients, especially those that also had an ethnic rhinoplasty, and her overall expertise in rhinoplasty, and I decided to move forward with the surgery. Also, not sure I can disclose pricing in this review, but it was very reasonable for a first time rhinoplasty, based on other high quotes I was also getting. And they do offer Care Credit. The day of the surgery, I was definitely nervous, but Dr. Porter very warmly let me know everything would be okay, and reiterated that it would be a subtle refinement to my nose. The first 24-48 hours following the surgery, my nose was packed, causing me to have to breath through my mouth. That was probably the most challenging part of the post op healing. Once the packing was removed, I had no breathing issues at all. During the post op appointment where the cast was removed, I already saw what was the beginning of an amazing result. I also continued to tape my nose for about 3 months after the surgery. The most remarkable thing I think is the change has positively affected my overall facial features, but no one (not even my mom) has noticed the actual rhinoplasty itself. One year later I'm very pleased with my results, and I highly recommend this doctor for rhinoplasty.
I’ve spent several years looking for a surgeon who specializes in ethnic rhinoplasty and was happy to finally find Dr. Porter here. I still look like myself, just more refined and my nose fits my face better in my opinion. I’m only 3 months post-op, so o hope more swelling will go down, but I’m please with the results so far. There was a lot of drainage and I was concerned initially with the shape but overtime it has balanced out. Dr. Porter worked with me to answer all of my questions, sometimes multiple times, and we worked together to create a results that was conservative but still different from my original shape. Would highly recommend, her office and staff were nice and helpful! It’s a very positive atmosphere and I never felt rushed at all.
While surgery for the lower eyelids is the more traditional and reproducible result for the lower eyelids, Accutite combined with Morpheus is a close second. Accutite is not for everyone. Those patients with laxity of the lower eyelid are generally not good candidates for the treatment. Additionally, the swelling can last for a while afterward. However, we have seen improvement in the patients that have "bags" of the lower eyelids and some crepey skin. The treatment does not make everything go away but patients comment that they look more rested and in some instances is clearly greatly improved. There is also improvement in the veins that are visible through the skin of the lower eyelids which gives a brightening effect.
There are a variety of treatments that we use to reduce wrinkles and tighten skin. Small amounts of botox will make the area more static and reduce wrinkling. To improve texture overall and tighten the skin MicroLaserPeel (MLP) works well. It is an erbium laser peel and will help the skin texture to be smoother and overall tighter. Additionally TCA peels can help improve tone and texture of the eye area. Both the TCA and MLP have some downtime associated with them. Adding a skin maintenance regimen for at home use is helpful for maintenance purposes.
Eyelid surgery is a relatively quick surgery that lends itself well to a local anesthetic with IV sedation. Typically 1% lidocaine with 1:100,000 of epinephrine is used in order to provide adequate analgesia (numbing). Anywhere from 3 to 10 cc is used for the whole case. For the sedation the anesthesiologist will give a relaxant (eg Valium) and propofol. This combination provides a level of comfort where most patients are snoring throughout the case. Occasionally patients prefer to have general anesthesia. There are probably many other scenarios used that are similar and safe.
Rhinoplasty results take time - swelling needs to resolve to allow for the final result. The amount of swelling often depends on the thickness of the skin. Small irregularities can disappear over the year of healing. The best advice is not to touch the area excessively which can lead to thinning of the skin and keep your follow up appointments with your surgeon. A pollybeak deformity would be a persistent fullness above the tip of the nose that is either due to excess cartilage or excess soft tissue/scar tissue in that area.
Surgeons fees vary widely by state and by surgeon's expertise. If you are concerned regarding the price, perhaps seeking additional consultations will give you the information you a better sense of what the fees are in your area.
