The good news based on what you have told us is I doubt seriously that the Voluma migrated.I believe on the side you slept on, you kept the swelling down and the other side has failed to decrease the swelling yet. Given time and the skill of your injector, I believe the two sides will look very similar if not the same.If you were my patient, I would tell you to sleep on the other cheek to decrease the swelling on the contra lateral side. So as you see, turning the other cheek, at least for facial fillers, has some definite advantages.
Thank you for your question. Voluma is a cross-linked hyaluronic acid making it more viscous and able to last longer. Voluma is intended to allow patients to resume normal activity right away. I suggest that you discuss your recovery with your injector to ensure that you are following the recovery guidelines as closely as possible.Best wishes,
Thank you for sharing your question. I would recommend seeing your injector for an in-person examination. Being a thicker gel filler Voluma is typically placed deeply into the skin with less chance of migrating. You likely have some asymmetry due to treatment swelling which should improve given time. Hope this helps.
Thank you foryour question jroselan. Voluma is afiller used to enhance the appearance of the face. It is difficult to make an assessment without photographs. I recommend that my patients sleep however they are comfortable after a treatment as it will not likely affect the placement of the product. Pleaseconsult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!
Voluma doesn't move or migrate once it has settled. You are probably just swollen. Which is completely normal. Things should improve over the next 2 weeks. If they don't or if things get worse then see your surgeon.
Not to worry. Voluma can not "migrate". What you are experiencing is probably post op swelling. It is quite often worse on one side than the other. It should resolve on it's own in 1-2 weeks. If not, see your surgeon.
I love voluma for me and my patients. I understand your concerns. Most likely everything is perfect. However, I prefer my patients to come to clinic right away with any concerns, issues or questions they have. That way we can ensure the best results and the best peace of mind. Stay #skintastic.
Hi There Thank you for your question.Voluma cannot migrate or move unlike some of the inert fillers, if injected correctly.Don't worry. If it looked fine on the day it will be fine.Kind Regards Dr Dinesh Maini Zenith Cosmetic Clinics
Thank you for your excellent question. Many of my patients ask the same question and have similar concerns. It is very unlikely that the Voluma migrated as a result of your sleep position. Please keep in mind that it will take 2 weeks to allow for normal postprocedure swelling to resolve and to see your final result. Early on, normal postprocedure swelling can cause the appearance of asymmetry. I do not recommend that my patients massage areas injected with Voluma. If you continue to have any concerns, please be sure to see your injector for an in-person reevaluation to fully discuss your concerns in order to determine the best course of action. Hope this helps and best wishes!
Hi, Thanks for your question. Voluma is typically placed deeply and rarely migrates. I would give your injector a call to have them take a look. Differential / asymmetric swelling can often happen after injection and this will likely dissipate when the swelling improves. I hope this is helpful. Wish you all the best.Kevin Cavanaugh, MD
Charbaut,I agree with the other docs who point out that your cheek structure looks good and you've had a good result from the treatment. 3 months after this type of treatment is a good time to review and compare to baseline photos from before the treatment and then decide how you feel about it. ...
Hello, Voluma is a hyaluronic acid filler that is indicated for volume loss in the mid face. Its larger particle size provides a great lift along the cheeks and zygomatic arch. In our practice, I do not recommend it for areas like the tear trough that have thinner tissue. I prefer to use...
Thank you for your question. Juvederm Voluma XC is the first facial filler to be approved by the FDA for the non-surgical treatment of the cheeks. If you hear of an offer that is too good to be true, it probably is. Always consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon that has an e...
Thank you for your question. Voluma is a very good filler for your cheeks and midface. It is a bit of a larger molecule, so it is usually placed deeper in the skin, (subdermal). The sales people will tell you it lasts about 2 years. In our experience it last about a year and a half. As far ...
Thank you for your question. While minocycline for your acne is safe after Voluma, your best bet is to review the list of approved and disapproved medications that your surgical team can provide. Please discuss with your board certified facial plastic surgeon. Best wishes,
Thank you for your question. Voluma is the most effective hyaluronic acid and can last up to 24 months. There are topical solutions that can improve your overall appearance so please discuss with your board certified facial plastic surgeon. Best wishes,
