I know my surgeon will tell me and they all have different protocols, but how is it possible to wear a compression garment with drains? And with if your drains are near your hips, then how? Can I wear it over the drains?
Answer: How is it possible to wear a compression garment with drains When undergoing abdominoplasty as part of a mommy makeover, some surgeons use an abdominal binder and others may use a compression garment. Often a drain is placed. The compression garments are crotchless and usually when I am using a compression garment in the patient as a drain, this gets routed through the crotchless part of the garment. Seems to work very well.

Answer: Drains and compression garments Your compression garment will fit over your drainage tubes. The collection portion of the drains can often be attached to the garment. Your surgeon will show you how to care for your garment and drains. It is commonly done after the Mommy Makeover.
