Hello. Great question. I will suggest contacting your surgeon directly. Every surgeon has their own pre op protocols.
Thanks for your inquiry, if it has been prescribed by your doctors should not be a problem till the day before surgery, I would advise you to discuss with your surgeon as well. Good Luck.
Dear Momma on a Mission, every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Thank you for your question. It is best to inform your plastic surgeon about all prescribed medications, as well as those over the counter, that you are taking. The Ativan should not be a problem but discuss this with your surgeon. Best wishes.
Thanks for your question Momma on a Mission! Ativan is a common medication for anxiety and one that is not usually discontinued in the perioperative period. The medication can effect other medications used for anesthesia and it's always important to discuss a complete medication list with your surgeon and/or anesthesia provider before surgery. Because every surgeon approaches their preoperative protocol differently, I would suggest contacting your surgeon to make sure. Congrats on your upcoming procedure and best of luck to you!Dr. Max
It should be ok for you to continue to take this medication. However I recommend discussing it with your doctor. It is important that your surgeon know all prescription, over the counter, and supplements that you take. This is for your safety during and after surgery.
Hello. Great question. I am sorry for your post op difficulties. A personal examination is needed to properly address your concerns. Please schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon for a detailed surgical plan to achieve your desired results.

Thanks for your inquiry, being married to a primary care doctor, your doctor will probably need to see you before ordering a test, but check if they will do it, good luck.

Thanks for the question. Generally, most patients can fly within 2-4 weeks after mommy makeover operation. I wish you all the best.
Wow, 5 answers thus far, and other than Dr. Wald, everybody has "answered" by saying you should see your surgeon because they can't see beyond the crusts and scabs. At least Dr. Morgan told you your belly button "doesn't look as it should." The good news is that it is not malodorous or painful,...
