I have had a handful of consultations and no solution. I am not concerned about my weight just my scar. A mini tummy tuck has been suggested it’s just the cost and the fact that It’s a Major surgery is worrisome. I just want the extra skin cut out and looking normal. Back story is I had a small keloid from a belly button piercing and I got an injection while pregnant. It left the area looking like a big stretch Mark that’s splits into 2 above belly.
Answer: Tummy tuck Dear Lynetingz, based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a TT. Full tummy tuck should tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the excess skin. Flanks liposuction would give you a better shape. It should remove lesions under belly button. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Resurfx laser will help minimize appearance of scarring combined with Luminase/Exfolase Abdominoplasty scars can be quite complex, ranging from the simple hypertrophic scar to a multiplane inflamed keloid. Pigmentation, discoloration, chronic inflammation, scar visibility can all occur in the short term. We begin each treatment with combination therapy using Yellow broadband BBL, Vbeam, fractional erbium, intralesional IIT, and scar modulation. Start with a combination of Plato's Scar Serum massaged twice daily after one week of epithelialization followed by Luminase/Exfolase. Scar consultation and revision may be recommended. Answer: Keloid scar A mini tummy tuck will not remove the scar located above your belly button. You will need to consider a full tummy tuck to best address it. Be sure to discuss your history of keloid scarring with your board certified plastic surgeon.

Answer: Mini Tummy Tuck Good question, however, the answer is a complex one. A Mini Tummy Tuck is a partial tummy tuck in that it tightens the area of the stomach between your belly button and pubic area. It is very effective for people who are within their recommended weight range but have a little pooch that doesn’t seem to flatten with diet or exercise. The region above the pubis is opened and the area above the muscle wall is lifted up to the belly button. The lower abdominal musculature is tightened, and then the lower skin is pulled down and the excess skin removed. A very important point for you is that the skin above the belly button - where your scar is - is not tightened nor pulled down. I think that this would not be useful for you, and you would be disappointed that your main concern is not addressed. Other options that would be part of a broader discussion would include a Full Tummy Tuck so that the skin above the belly button could be removed or Laser Treatment. I believe that your history of keloid formation and an inclination to avoid surgery might lead you to look into Laser Treatment options.

Answer: Mini tuck No, the mini tuck will do nothing for that area. the mini tuck is done below the belly button only. a full tummy tuck would address the issue, but you run into the problem of keloids. You might get improvement with micro-needling.
