I went for consultations to different doctors. The 1st advices not to do tummy tuck breast reduction& lift in the same surgery because of my high BMI and blood pressure medicine. The 2nd (more experienced) suggests tummy tuck breast reduction& lift, lipo flanks & chin & fat transfer to hip dips in 1 surgery which will last 4.30 hrs. I'm 82kg, 159cm, BMI 33, 38 years old. 1kid 10 years old (natural delivery). BP medicine Tritace 5mg, 1 tablet/ day. I am confused.
Answer: Surgery On blood pressure medication, I would advise against doing all those procedures at one time. I would suggest starting with the liposuction and perhaps the breast reduction. Once the excess fat is removed from the flanks, you may find you no longer have hip dips. Also, doing the liposuction first removes more fat from the abdomen. The tuck will look better if the fat can be removed first.

Answer: Overall Safe, Lower BMI is better Technically both physicians are correct. For a surgery of 4.5hrs, you are safe to proceed with a BMI of 33. The complication profile for that type of surgery does not increase substantially until you reach a BMI of 35. However, there is an increase in complication rate between the BMI class of 25-29 and 30-34. Furthermore, your best results will always be achieved after the maximum amount of weight loss. In general, I would consider what the second surgeon is offering safe as long as your comorbidity (other illness) profile is acceptable. Due to the length of surgery, you may be required to take blood thinners after surgery depending, among other things, on your Caprini score. Make sure that both surgeons you are consulting with are Board Certified Plastic Surgeons (not simply cosmetic surgeons) and that the facilities that they operate at are accredited facilities.

Answer: Safe Mommy make over Medical history and BMI are very important on the evaluation prior to any surgery. A 30BMI or under is recommended to get a Mommy make over done so the aesthetic result is better and done on a safer way. My advice will be checking options to reach this 30BMI prior to consider doing a plastic surgery, this will help your Hypertension and will give you better results long term. Good Luck!

Answer: Mommy Makeover - safety for multiple procedures. I am not really sure what an "amp" is however I have years of experience with combined surgery. I do believe you have to be careful and not spend more than 5 hours during any case. Next it is difficult to operate on the buttocks, breast and belly at the same surgery because it leaves you little area for you to rest on while healing. I think proceed but proceed with caution. Best Wishes!!

Answer: Is it safe for me to do mommy makeover, lipo & fat transfer in the same surgery? It is safe for you to do mommy makeover, lipo & fat transfer in the same surgery as long as you are healthy and there are no contraindications. Your plastic surgeon and anaesthetist will be able to assess you in view of your health conditions and advise you on whether it is safe for you to have all three procedures done at the same time. Recovery from mommy makeover, lipo & fat transfer surgery can be quite challenging, so make sure you have a good support system in place. Take care!
