Lost 80 lbs- What type of tummy tuck would be best for me? Would I need a breast lift & implant or just an implant? (Photos)

Hi @Momlifex5! Congratulations on your weight loss journey! That's amazing! I recommend a regular tummy tuck (incision more or less from hip bone to hip bone, where your fold ends) with liposuction to the flanks. That will remove the excess skin, repair your muscle laxity to give you a flatter tummy and accentuate your waist with the added liposuction. In regards to your breasts, it depends on your goals. If you only get a lift, you will go down at least a cup size. If your goal is to stay same size or maybe a little bit bigger, I recommend adding an implant. Also, an implant will give you a fuller, rounder look. Hope this helped!

A full tummy tuck would most likely be the most suitable option for you, as this would remove loose skin and fat above and below your belly button, as well as repair abdominal muscle separation if necessary.

For your breasts, what are your goals? If your nipple are located below your breast fold and you want a perkier, fuller shape, then a lift would be needed. If you want larger breasts too, then implants would be needed.

Hi. Of course, you need an in-person evaluation to really assess things but based on your pictures, for the breasts you would need a lift in addition to implants if you are wanting to go larger. The abdomen I would recommend a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty). I do a muscle repair as standard procedure for all of my tummy tucks. You could ask your specific surgeon about that. I would recommend consulting with a board certified plastic surgeon with good experience in doing this combination of procedures, commonly referred to as a mommy makeover.

I would begin with you breasts using The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. At the same time or later, a tummy tuck can be done. If you are not planning future pregnancies, I recommend abdominoplasty with mesh reinforcement. The mesh creates a more hourglass figure by compressing the abdominal wall resulting in early satiety and helps maintain a reduced weight. After these have been completed, you can undergo liposuction and fat transfers to the breasts if additional volume is desired.

Congrats on your weight loss! After that much weight loss, having some loose skin is normal. Best to do an in person exam with a board certified plastic surgeon, but it does appear you will be a great candidate for a standard abdominoplasty with liposuction of the hips. Although the breasts can be done with just an implant, you will get a better result with a mastopexy (breast lift) too. If in good health then you can usually combine these surgeries at the same setting. It’s about a 4 hr outpatient surgery. And plan on about 2 weeks to get back to light normal activities. 4-6 weeks to full activity. Best of luck to you and you should get a nice result!

based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a TT. Full tummy tuck should tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the excess skin. Flanks liposuction would give you a better shape. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Difficult to tell from the photos, but it appears that you will need a lift with your implant. You will also need a standard abdominoplasty with fascial plication. Hope this helps and good luck!
