What you describe sounds like a very reasonable number of procedures to do in a single session. The labia plasty is a fairly minor procedure. That can also easily be done as an office based procedure, at least in my opinion. I would point out that there is significant discrepancy and differences in approach, skill and experience when it comes to body contouring procedures, like liposuction and fat transfer. Do not assume that because somebody’s board-certified and plastic surgery that they are good at either one of these procedures. Patient should be extremely selective when it comes to choosing providers especially for procedures, like liposuction and fat transfer. If done poorly, these procedures can leave people disfigured. Correcting poorly done. Liposuction is extremely difficult and often not possible. To find the right provider, I suggest patient start the process by having multiple in person consultations. During each consultation as each provider and open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before, and after pictures of previous patients who had similar body characteristics to your owner. An experience provider should have no difficulty showing you with the before and after pictures of at least 50 previous patients. Always make sure breast fat transfer after pictures were taken at least 3 to 6 months from the date of surgery. Early fat transfer pictures can look very impressive but did not in anyway represent final results. Do not assume plastic surgeons are showing final , long-term results if results. Always confirm. There’s no correct number of consultations needed to find the right providers. The more consultations your schedule, the more likely you are to find the best provider. Considering how much variation there is an skill and how a few plastic surgeons have actually mastered both Liposuction and fat transfer. I suggest patient start the process by having at least five in person consultations before scheduling any permanent irreversible body contouring procedure. When, in doubt, slow down and schedule more consultations. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
