Can fat be injected in the mammary gland?

Question

It it possible to inject fat in the mammary gland for the purpose of breast augmentation with fat transfer? wouldn't fat damage the mammary gland? One doctor told me that since the breast have almost no fat but only mammary gland he would inject max 150cc per breast INSIDE and around the mammary glands.

generally speaking, during fat transfer to breasts, fat is not transferred into the breast gland tissue. Fat transfer breast augmentation is a viable alternative for women who desire larger breasts without the use of implants. Fat transfer is also widely used in reconstruction of the breast after a mastectomy or lumpectomy. It can also be very effective in correcting the size and shape of the breasts due to genetic problems such as tuberous breast or Poland Syndrome, two conditions that look like misshapen or underdeveloped breasts.In addition, the following scenarios are also reason to consider breast fat grafting:• If you have chest areas that appear creased and sunken• If you desire more permanent correction than is provided by temporary fillers• If you wish to improve your body contour, revise scars, fill bodily depressions and rejuvenate the natural curve of your breasts• To fill in contour irregularities or hide obvious signs of breast implantsYou should discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon and make sure your surgeon understands your concerns and your breast augmentation goals. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Breast augmentation can be achieved with either a breast implant or fat transfer.  With fat transfer, fat is harvested using liposuction.  the fat is purified and then placed into the breast tissue.  In most cases you can get about a cup size increase with fat transfer.

Plastic surgeons will have different opinions about the appropriateness of injecting fat directly into breast tissue. Likewise, some women have very dense hair, brunette, or fibercystic breast tissue, which is too dense to penetrate with a graft in Cannula.
 Personally, I graft some fat into breast tissue when it allows it and have not had complications because of it. It’s a Breast to hear his farm then I limit grafting, fat, fatty tissues, subdermal plans, and some glandular tissue planes.
Delivering consistent quality, liposuction and fat transfer results is more difficult than most people realize. The number of plastic surgeons who truly mastered these procedures are in a small minority. 150 cc is a very conservative amount and it will lead to a barely visible change. I think the smallest volume graft. I typically graft a minimum of around 400 cc per side and have a grafted up to 1500 cc per breast. 
I cannot emphasize enough the importance of finding the right provider for these procedures. To do that I suggest patients have multiple in person consultations at which time you need to vet plastic surgeons for both Liposuction, and for fat transfer skill and experience.
During each consultation at each provider to open up your portfolio and show you their entire collection of before, and after pictures of previous patients who have similar body characteristics to your own. An experienced plastic surgeon should have no difficulty showing you the before and after pictures of at least 50 previous patients.
When reviewing before, and after pictures for Fed, transfer results, always confirm the exact timeframe of when after pictures were taken in comparison to the date of surgery. Early fad transfer results can look very impressive but do not represent final results in any way. After pictures should never be taken less than 3 to 6 months after the procedure in order to be honest and accurately represent final outcomes.
There’s no correct number of consultations needed to find the right provider. The more consultations you have the more likely where to find the best providers. Considering the men’s variation in skillet experience for both Liposuction and fat transfer I suggest patient start the process by having at least five in person, consultations before scheduling, permanent irreversible body contouring procedures that can potentially lead people disfigured.
Breast fat transfer can increase breast size by 1/2 cup when done by a sufficiently experienced provider. Fat transfer does not change the shape of the breast in any significant way.
Having mastered liposuction and fat transfer means not only being able to technically do the procedure well but also be able to make accurate assessment and deliver predictable outcomes consistent with appropriate before and after pictures previously shown. Results should always be predictable. There should be no guessing game when it comes to outcomes for both Liposuction and body fat transfer outcomes. providers who have sufficient, skill and experience should results are highly predictable.
