Your particular issue is actually not terribly difficult to correct. A revision of the right upper eyelid should provide you with symmetry. The crease is a bit high on the left side but that would be a bit more difficult to correct. A physical exam may indicate that both lids need to be adjusted slightly.

You describe your brow as being asymmetrical so you may benefit from a browlift. You appear to have a high forehead. A frontal hairline incision can be done to elevate the brows to create symmetry of the brows. This will help with some of the upper eyelid skin. You will need a revision of the upper blepharoplasty as well.

It would be very difficult to evaluate your result without preoperative photos to compare. There is some asymmetry in the upper eyelids that can be corrected. It is also possible that you have ptosis of both eyelids, which can be ruled out only based on in-person evaluation. Second opinion consultation with a board-certified plastic or oculoplastic surgeon is recommended. Good luck.

Hi, no need to despair. Based on your pics, it looks like enough time has passed that your scars are matured and soft. See your original surgeon and ask about revision to restore symmetry. Alternatively seek a second opinion from an experienced surgeon who can do a scar revision for symmetry.

Please understand that surgeons really do not understand this syndrome. When you ask for the eyelids to be revised, their well meaning but misguide plan would be to re-excise the upper eyelid. That will only make your situation worse. What you need here is your upper eyelid fold reconstructed, repair of the disinserted anterior levator with correction of the upper eyelid ptosis, anchor blepharoplasty to smooth the eyelid platform crepey skin and support the droopy eyelashes, and most likely lateral canthoplasty. You had blepharoplasty to look younger and better. What happened is that your surgeon never explained their surgical plan and simply cut off your upper eyelid folds skeletonizing the upper eyelids, Instead of making you look younger and better, this common upper eyelid outcome makes you look older and not like yourself. With expert help, it is possible to repair these issues and help restore the shape and youthful appearance of the eyes. There is not substitute for an in depth consultation.
