Botched eyelid surgery revision. What are my options?

I had revision blepharopasty 11 months ago and the result has left me devastated. The skin is no longer smooth and I initially just wanted some excess skin removed from the inner upper corner. The Dr worked on the outer too and took too much skin so now it bunches up. He did plasma pen 1 week ago but i think it has made it worse. When I open my eyes one side in outer corner does not follow the natural shape of my eye, instead of going curved it goes straight too.

Generally most of my eyelid colleagues can perform a primary blepharoplasty but they do not all have  the skill and knowledge to satisfactorily reconstruct your eyelid after a failed blepharoplasty. Stop letting well meaning surgeons hack away at you. You need what you have left for a definitive reconstruction. Although not a widely understood approach my my colleagues, it is possible to improve many of these eyelids. The critical thing is what has been left in the eyelid. Even eyelids that have had significant prior skin removal can have upper eyelid fold reconstruction with crease lowering, anchor blepharoplasty, repair of the levator insertion on the upper eyelid tarsus. There is no substitute for a detailed in person assessment. Your eyes can be your best feature.

It’s difficult to advise you without photos .  Most surgical results can be improved upon if enough time is given to allow healing and softening of the tissues. Seek a second opinion from an experienced surgeon once your eyelids have healed for at least 6 months.

It is possible to improve this but it will depend upon what is going on precisely.  Pictures or a video will be key.

Your options are to live with the results recognizing that perhaps provider selection could’ve been done a little better. Alternatively, you can seek second opinion consultations by scheduling in person consultations with other providers.
