Hi! I’m 6 weeks out from a mommy makeover W/360 Lipo around flanks, etc! My front tummy is still swollen and a bit tender, but am wondering when it’s safe to wear high rise jeans again? Don’t want to cause permanent indentations or anything like that. Is 6+ weeks enough time? Thanks in advance!

Answer: Wearing jeans.... Congratulations on your recent tummy tuck! I don't believe wearing jeans will be a problem for you after 6 weeks. However, it's always good to speak with your surgeon about specifics. Best wishes, Dr. ALDO

Answer: When can one wear jeans after TT / lipo? Hi and welcome to our forum!Congratulations on your recent surgery. Following your surgery, the inflammation associated with wound healing will create diffuse swelling. The compression garment is designed to control swelling and to prevent bleeding. We recommend its use for the first 4 weeks. However,a degree of swelling will persist for far longer, with 60-80% resolving within the first 6 weeks, and remainder slowly resolving over 6-12 months. You can wear clothing of choice AS LONG AS IT IS COMFORTABLE. Your previously worn skinny jeans may be a bit too tight for awhile...you may wish to get a slightly larger temporary pair.Best wishes...
