Thank you for sharing your question and photographs and I am sorry that your current results have not been what you anticipated. It is difficult without an in-person examination to determine what may be taking place. In most cases this is persistent swelling which can take time to resolve spontaneously. This typically follows the waxing and waning appearance changes during the day that you describe. It is important, however, to ensure that other issues are not taking place - a discrete fluid collection or residual adipose tissue. Since your surgeon knows the full details of your operation, they are in the best position to provide you with a diagnosis and treatment option. Best wishes.
This certainly could be a swelling problem, but I'd start looking for something more significant at this point. Has your surgeon seen you for the problem? It seems as though you might need either a fluid collection drained, or a little bit of liposuction in that zone to flatten the area. The blog I wrote a few years ago covers swelling, and it might be worth you having a look at the video I attached.Good Luck!
Dear xena11583,I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment. Only after thorough examination you can get proper recommendations and advice.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Thanks so much for reaching out. It may take 12 to 18 months for all of your swelling to resolve. If after that much time and you still have a bulge in your lower abdomen you may benefit from Liposuction to decrease any remaining fatty tissue. Sometimes the abdominal musculature needs to be re-stitched.I hope this helps :-)
Sorry your dealing with swelling. I’ve seen it happen for up to a year. If it’s still present at that point you may benefit from liposuction of that area. In any case, discussing with your surgeon is the best current approach.Cheers
At ten months post op your swelling should have resolved. Visit with your surgeon for an evaluation and discussion of your concerns. You may benefit from some liposuction to improve the contour.
are not terribly common, but if it fluctuates from flat in the morning to full in the afternoon, it's still related to swelling that resolves when you're flat on your back. If it is constant and unchanging, your surgeon should be evaluating your for possible fluid collection or the possible need for further liposuction of that area if found to be on the thicker side.
Online consultants will not be your best resource when it comes to questions such as causation of pubic area swelling. Much will depend on your starting physical examination and what was done during your procedure. My best advice: follow up with your plastic surgeon for in person evaluation. If, in the longer term, you remain concerned, revisionary surgery (likely involving additional skin removal plus/minus liposuction surgery) may be necessary to improve your outcome. Best wishes.
Thank you for your question and photos. Without an in person examination it is not possible to determine the cause of the swelling as the day progresses. However, you do want to allow a complete 12-18 months for swelling to resolve. I suggest that you follow up with you plastic surgeon to discuss possible cause and solutions.Best of luck,
Pubic swelling may result from liposuction of the mind pubis or undermining (elevating the fat and skin) of the mons pubis. In either case, maintaining compression is the best solution although this may take many months to resolve. I would consult with your surgeon for further recommendations.

It is difficult to tell if any damage was done without an exam. Since you have not noticed any visible changes such as increased swelling or bruising, it sounds unlikely that you did any permanent damage. To be safe, I recommend you contact your surgeons office as they may...
I have never found it necesssary to use mesh in a tummy tuck in thirty years of practice. Some surgeons may use it from time to time but I suspect it is the rare case.
I have never done a MRI or CT scan to evaluate the fascia thickness. However, if you are not planning future pregnancies I routinely do use mesh reinforcement for diastatis recti and abdominal wall protrusions. The mesh is used to reinforce the fascia creating a more hourglass figure by c...
Thank you for your question and photos. It looks like your main area of concern is right bellow the belly button. You have nice skin quality and not much laxity of your muscles. You may be a good candidate for liposuction alone or even something even less invasive like Coolsculpting. ...
