All the plastic surgeons have said I have a nice shape to my rear, but I carry A LOT of fat overall on my butt- mostly the top half. Will lipo in that area to remove a lot of the fat along with my thighs and abdomen give me a smaller butt? Or do I have to do something more drastic like a tummy tuck for your butt? I'm 36 years old, had 2 kids with very minimal stretch marks. Sorry the pictures are so grainy for some reason
Answer: Will getting liposuction on my butt, help decrease size and shape? Based on your photos, I think you need a better definition of your buttocks. You are right, it does seem fuller on top, matter of fact, I can't really tell where your buttocks end and the lower back begins. The fullness that you perceive, is above the true anatomical buttocks and this should be sculpted to make the buttocks shorter in height. You do have a slight deficiency in the lower buttocks, but unfortunately you did not post a true untwisted back photo. Looking at your frontal view, you do have some deficiency on the left side, which should be fat grafted for a smoother contour. I would consider doing VASER liposculpting of your whole back, waist, hips, abdomen and lateral thighs (minimally) with fat grafts to the lower buttocks depressions, mainly for shape and not increase in size. See a board certified plastic surgeon experienced in advanced body sculpting techniques for an in person consultation/evaluation. Good luck.

Answer: Will getting Lipo on my butt, help decrease size and shape? (photos) I think that you would benefit from liposuction of the flank and abdomen to give a more proportional figure. I would not recommend suctioning of the buttock. It is not out of proportion and could give a flat and saggy appearance. Good luck!

Answer: Lipo after kids Hello, and great question. I should tell you that, from your pictures, your butt does not appear to be overly large. Your real "problem" so to speak, is not your butt size, but rather the area right above (posterior/lower flanks) and out to the sides around your butt (lateral thighs). Performing lipo there will decrease your waist size and lateral thigh area, but it will also keep your buttocks looking round and full, which should be the goal of whoever you choose. If your skin tone is still good, which requires an examination, then performing liposuction on those areas and your abdomen is where you should probably start - your skin will recoil and shrink down once the fat is gone and your shape will be great. The other stuff you mentioned it does not look like you need. Consult a good plastic surgeon up there, and good luck!

Dear JWood97,Typically the buttock itself is not liposuctioned, but removing fullness from the top (lower flanks), sides (above the indentation on your upper thigh) and fullness on your outer thigh would all be great to flatter your curves. A circumferential abdominoplasty such as you are describing is a great option for people who have a lot of weight and have significant posterior laxity, but I doubt this is really your best option based off your photos.Good Luck!

Answer: Liposuction of the butt One must be very careful when performing liposuction on the butt, because it can result in sagging. Liposuction of the abdomen and thighs will improve the appearance of those areas but will probably not make the butt look smaller.
