Answer: In most patients some of the benefits of liposuction are seen immediately. It is true that fat removed by liposuction is temporarily replaced by swelling. However seldom does it totally occupy all the volume. Almost all patients can see immediate improvement.

Answer: How soon will I see results from my liposuction? Great question. You may see some results as early as 2-3 weeks as the swelling begins to resolve. I would withhold assessing the final result until at least 3 months however. Good luck!

However, an additional 20% or so will require longer to resolve. There is nothing the patient can do except wait. Compressive garments help somewhat but the biological forces at play follow their own time table. Be patient and wait until you can enjoy your results. Good luck :)
