Will a lip lift change the nostrils?

Question

I am considering getting a lip lift done but keep hearing people say how it changed the shape of their nostrils/nose, which is making me reconsider. Is this change only temporary or, in the case of some individuals, does it change the shape of the nose/nostril size forever?

Thanks for your question on lip lift- a well done lip lift does not change the shape of the nose. The key is to suspend the lip from other tissues... If the lip is suspended from the  nose... it will change the shape of the nose but a well done procedure will NOT change the nasal shape.

That is always a major concern, however when properly performed, there should be little to no change to the nostril shape, nor any pulling down of the columella with an upper lip lift.

There should be little to do change with your nostrils following lip lift surgery.  Consult with a board certified plastic surgeon for an evaluation.
