Getting deep plane facelift, endo brow lift and revision lip lift in October (original surgery 2.5 years ago). I have always had a hanging columella and it's much worse since my lip lift. My nostrils are pulled too. The doctor I'm seeing does NO nose work. Would it be wise to get my tipplasty (rhino/columella) and lip lift together 3 months before surgery (from a different doctor) OR get the revision lip lift with him in October than a rhino/ top plasty 6 months later? I am scared my columella/ septum isn't strong enough to hold the lip lift in place if I revise it alone without addressing the columella. Any advice in how I should stage these? Are dropping columellas usually a sign of weakened cartilage/ septum area? I just want the lip lift to stay put this time! (Yes she used double layer stitches before and adhered it to the base of the nose). Not sure what went wrong.
Ive had a rhinoplasty and since my nose no longer hangs down, Ive noticed a difference in the way my lip area looks overall. My concern is that because my lips are downturned, it might not look great. Any advice/suggestions appreciated.
Good afternoon, I hope this message finds you well. Ive previously undergone rhinoplasty five timesfour closed rhinoplasties and one open procedure. In one of my surgeries, my surgeon attempted a tip plasty using cartilage from my ear inserted into a silicone implant. Unfortunately, the skin on my nose did not close properly, and the tip of the silicone implant had to be trimmed, resulting in a less-than-ideal outcome. In the future, I am considering a revision rhinoplasty using rib cartilage. However, Im also very interested in having a lip lift. My main concern is the safety of combining these two procedures, given my surgical history. Would it be safe for me to undergo a lip lift at some point? Could this increase my risk for complications like nasal tip necrosis? In your expert opinion, should I have the lip lift before or after my revision rhinoplasty? Thank you very much for your time and guidance. I truly appreciate your expertise.
I am a mid 20s male with a long philtrum and low tooth show. I am satisfied with the size and shape of my upper lip, which is why I have not gotten a lip lift. Is there a lip lift technique that can increase toothshow and reduce philtrum length while minimizing the change to the upper vermilion?
I dislike the shape of my philtrum. It is parallel and deep, was wondering if it was possible to change it to a more triangular shape, either through a lip lift procedure or a rhinoplasty? Couldn't find anything online. Thanks
My philtrum (nasal sill - highest pt of cupids bow ~18-19 mm) seems to elongate, defeminize, and age my face. Am I am an appropriate candidate for a lip lift? I am unsure d/t e.g. the prominence/angle of my nasal spine region, etc. If I am an appropriate candidate, how can I best ensure that I would have a natural-looking outcome and that my surgeon adheres to my specified goals for a more modest length improvement? What specific questions and agreement details might I consider?
Hi, I am going to book in a revision rhinoplasty and septoplasty; however I want to shorten the length of my philtrum so was considering a lip lift. I have tooth show when my mouth is on repose however some before and after photos I have seen of people who have had lip lifts have had similar without a HUGE amount of tooth show. Is there a way a combination of both the rhinoplasty and lip lift could be used together for an effective result of reducing my philtrum length.
