Hello I've recently had kybella done and I've noticed my face shape is a bit different I noticed my jaw line is a bit more of a v jaw line now which as to before I had a similar jaw line as to like Kylie Jenner or Selena Gomez where i believe what would be the jowls would stick out quite a bit giving the appearance of a heart shaped face if that makes sense . I'd hate to think I altered the shape of my face , I'd like to think this is how'd id look had I lost an extra 20 pounds.
Answer: Kybella and face shape Dear beam195,Kybella is a safe, effective and very gradual injectable treatment to reduce sub-mental fat permanently. By reducing the sub-mental fat it could make your jaw line (bone structure) show more where before it was hiding with sub-mental fat. It could also be swelling which is very normal for up to 3 weeks after each treatment. These could be some of the reasons why you are seeing a slight change on the shape of your face. Kybella may take up o 6 treatments for optimal results. I recommend you to go back to our provider so you can compare before and after pictures.Best,Dr Obaid.

Answer: Kybella & Face Shape Thank you for your question. Kybella is approved to destroy fat cells in the submental area (area under the chin), but some providers inject Kybella in other areas. If you were injected along your jaw line to get rid of jowls this explains why you think your jaw line appears different. However, if you were injected in the area below your chin this should not alter your face shape at all. I hope this helps.

Answer: Kybella and facial shape The effects of Kybella are mostly noticeable in a profile photo. It only dissolves fat in the area that it is injected. Kybella is usually injected below the chin and should provide improved contour of your chin and jawline. It will not provide any significant change to your face in a frontal photo.

Answer: Kybella Results--add thermage, ultherapy, exilis, VASER, ThermiRF No, Kybella is good for removing stubborn areas of fat, but will only work in treated area. Keep in mind, a combination approach is needed to get the most improvement with non-invasive options like Kybella. I recommend Kybella with thermage, ultherapy, exilis. VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF is a great alternative for contouring the chin, if you're a candidate. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Answer: Kybella Dear beam195,Kybella typically takes 3 to 5 treatments to work. This is why I've stopped carrying Kybella in my office. I recommend neck liposuction more often then any injectable procedure for the neck now. It provides superior results gives me more control over the area than any injectable. It also costs about the same as what you paid for your first kybella session. The liposuction can be done under local while awake in the office and recovery is about the same as kybella.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
