An epicanthoplasty which opens the corner of the eye will always have some visible scarring, however. Some of this scarring will fade with time. A blepharoplasty performed at the same time as your epicanthoplasty will not reduce the scarring resulting from your epicanthoplasty, so you should only have a blepharoplasty if you want that procedure. An upper eyelid blepharoplasty will help open your eye by raising the upper lid and enhancing the upper eyelid crease.
