Had Restalyne filler a week ago, how long does it take to see a change?

Hi Kendall,Thanks for your question.  The great thing about fillers is the "instant gratification" because you can see the changes right after the injections have been done before the swelling sets in.  If the swelling has resolved and you still don't see a change, most likely you need more of a correction.  I always take before and after photos with my patients so we can compare the changes together and make sure the outcome was what my patient expected.  I would return to the provider who injected you and discuss your concerns.  Hope this helps.All the best,Carlos Mata, MD, MBA, FACSBoard-Certified Plastic Surgeon

It can take 1-2 weeks for final results with Restylane. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. For marionette lines, I recommend fillers for the lines themselves and to provide anatomical support with Sculptra for collagen building. Ultherapy and rf treatments provide skin tightening and lift, while lasers and microneedling/prp can improve texture and tone. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. You should see a change with filler almost immediately. You may have some swelling initially but after a few days in  most cases the swelling goes away.

With fillers the change should be immediate.  If there is no significant change after a week there is not going to be any. Be sure you see a board certified dermatologist

Generally speaking, results in the Marionette lines are immediate. There can be some variability in swelling for the first one to two weeks. If you are not satisfied then see your doctor for options.

Thanks for your question. You should see results with Filler immediately after the treatment. Sometimes you get swelling in the final results will take approximately one week, however you should've already seen some improvement. Sometimes you need a little bit more than one syringe. Good luck!
