Is 1cc of restylane enough? 1cc in tear trough. (photos)

Question

I recently had restylane injected in my tear trough. 1cc to be exact. I like the results, but want a little more volume so that the area is flush and flat. Would you suggest 1 more cc?

Hi @Schestang! In many cases, 1 cc of Restylane is enough. I recommend waiting 2 weeks after your  treatment to allow all swelling to  subside.  Always seek treatments from expert injectors who have the skill and experience to precisely inject fillers into treatment areas and avoid risks and complications. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!

Thank you for your question. Typically 1cc of Restylane is enough, but this also depends on how much correction you desire. I would wait 2 weeks after your first treatment to allow all swelling to resolve to determine how much more correction you need. Please remember to always see and expert injector. Best of Luck!

You can of course, always have more but more is often less in terms of outcome. I think what you have done looks good. More filler risks the filler being sited too superficially which leaves the skin looking blue and shiny and not at all as good as it looks now. Hope that helps, Adam Goodwin

1cc restylane is usually sufficient but it depends on how much correction is desired.  you dont say how long ago the injection was but you should wait at least 2 weeks to see what is really needed

You did it the right way. Started off conservatively first and now you see that you may need more.  I would give it another week or two to allow swelling to subside before adding more just yet.
