Please see an expert at body sculpting for an evaluation. Most of the time this area can be treated with a hi definition procedure to get contouring and tightening. Best, Dr. Emer.
If the skin on your back is very loose, liposuction will not be sufficient. Even liposuction with heat, such as Vaser or Laser liposuction has limitations with very loose skin. An evaluation by a board certified plastic surgeon is suggested to discuss the options that would give you the best results.
The short answer to your question is that if your skin is loose, you need a lift. If you have good skin with adequate elasticity, liposuction may suffice. This may be difficult for you to determine, but your plastic surgeon (board-certified, of course) would be able to assess which option would be better for you and explain the improvement you may be able to achieve.
Great question. Usually you need this type of procedure when you have lost weight and have more skin than fat. I recommend that you sit down with a board certified plastic surgeon for a consultation to assess the areas of concern. Good luck
Great question. I see a lot of patients who are concerned about excess "fat" in the braline area but on examination, there not much subcutaneous fat there and the problem is due mostly to loose skin. I see this even in slender, fit patients. Even if you can pinch a generous amount of fat, removing it with liposuction alone may not give you a smooth back unless your skin is very elastic and taut. Your skin elasticity would need to be assessed in person. A braline back lift will remove the excess skin and liposuction is sometimes done with it. I recommend seeing a few board certified plastic surgeons in your area to better be able to direct you. Good luck.
Thank you for your question. You will need to be evaluated in person to determine this because without photos, it is nearly impossible to tell you.All the best,Dr. ResultsMiami, FL
Thank you for your question. Much of the back is comprised of fibrous, thick fatty tissue that shrinks well after liposuction to leave a pleasing contour without excess skin. In many cases liposuction can be performed first and if excess skin develops it can be addressed in a second procedure. That said if you have a thick layer of adipose tissue along the bra line, or your back skin has some sagging present, a bra lift would likely be a better procedure. Hope this helps.
Thank you for your question. It depends on the degree of skin laxity and skin excess in the upper back. Patients who had a massive weight loss 60-100 Ibs are more likely to benefit from a back lift since the skin is deflated and lax. If the problem is in having fat deposits in the upper back creating rolls, I would start with liposuction first and not commit to a back lift. You will be surprised on how much improvement you can get with liposuction alone, specially if you have a good skin tone. Hope this helps.
A bra line lift is not nearly as common as liposuction. This is an area that is bothersome to ladies because of bulging of tissue over the bra when it is worn. Determining whether you can get away with liposuction alone can only done by an examination. Obviuosly doing liposuction is the simplest route to go because there are tradeoffs to a bra line lift (bigger operation/larger scar). I would see someone who has experience with both and after a quick exam you will know.
The back bra lift is needed when your skin does not contract around the residual fat once liposuction is carried out. This is not a simple black and white situation but is very grey. Skin contraction depends upon many factors including weight, age, quality of skin to name a few. My Best, Dr Commons

Thank you for your question and photos. You are correct in saying that liposuction is NOT a weight loss tool. Although you have not had success in losing weight in recent years, you should seek out a medical weight loss program which involves strict dieting and exercise to cut down on the v...
The question is not whether liposuction under local anesthesia is safe in the setting of elevated liver enzymes but rather why are the enzymes elevated. There are a number of different reasons for an elevation (some more concerning than others). I would recommend you seek a proper work up with...
