I am 5"7 200lbs. I know that lipo is not a form of weight loss but would I be a good candidate for lipo of the upper and lower abdomen, the fat between my back and butt, and flanks? Also could I get fat transers to my butt to round in and make it proportioned to my body. My weight has been the same since losing 80lbs 5 year ago.
Answer: Liposuction Thank you for your question and photos. You are correct in saying that liposuction is NOT a weight loss tool. Although you have not had success in losing weight in recent years, you should seek out a medical weight loss program which involves strict dieting and exercise to cut down on the visceral fat you appear to have. This fat cannot be removed by undergoing liposuction. Once you cut down this fat and reach your goal weight, liposuction is likely a realistic option. All the best,Dr. ResultsMiami, FL

Answer: Liposuction Candidate Hi, thanks for posting your pictures and for your inquiry. Although liposuction would be a good tool to help you lose some inches, it would not help you with the elasticity of your skin, for that an abdominoplasty would be advised. Please make sure that you and your surgeon are on the same page. Don't forget to discuss all your concerns, options and expectations thoroughly. Have a safe and pleasant PS Journey!Respectfully,Dr. Jaime Campos-Leon
