Is a large amount of swelling normal after exercising after having lipo?

Yes, it is normal. That's why I usually recommended to wait 2-3 months before starting to work out; and to begin with cardio only and progressively get to the other levels. You can pause it for now and wait another month or 2 since tou had a Tummy Tuck revision and see how it goes. For better personal clarification, you may contact your suergeon. I'm not sure I really seen this in my own practice. I suppose some swelling after exercise might be anticipated but certainly not a lot. You probably should wear a compressive garment during exercise in the early postoperative period.

Congratulations on your recent surgery. It is very normal to swell after liposuction and the swelling can last 6-12 months. It should progressively improve during this time. Vigorous activity can increase the swelling. Wearing a compression girdle or even tight bike shorts will help minimize the swelling when you exercise and make you more comfortable. Good luck!
