I had lipo on 4 areas, upper and lower abs and flanks. My online chart says 1300ccs removed, 700ccs fat. I am 5'8 195lbs. My stomach feels normal with all the same fat in the same areas, my belly is not flat at all. At my one month post op visit, I expressed these same concerns and I was told to "wear a board in my garment". One month later, still no change. I watch my diet and a exercise lightly, but there has been no change. Was this enough fat?
Answer: Liposuction Results & After care includes RF treatments (Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra) Cellutone/zwave, hyperbaric oxygen It's too soon to tell what your final results will be. You will still have swelling, which can last 3-6 months after your procedure. I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. It's difficult to tell without pictures, but you may not have been a candidate for liposuction alone, but needed a tummy tuck to get a flat result. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: I am 2 months post lipo and I see no results. Is 700cc of fat a lot to have removed from 4 areas of Liposuction? There is no way to evaluate your concerns without seeing pictures. It is possible that more fat needs to be removed, but it is also possible that liposuction alone will not adequately correct your problem. Many people have loose skin that feels like extra fat when you pinch it, but the solution for this is a tummy tuck, not liposuction. Please resubmit your question with photos of your abdomen for a more specific response.

Answer: Fat Removal During Liposuction? Unfortunately, without an in person examination beforehand, it is impossible to say what would be an appropriate amount of fat removed. That amount could be a lot for one person, or a minimal amount for another. Every frame is different. It takes at least three months for all of the swelling to go down so still be patient and give yourself some more healing time. When you hit that three month mark then I would address it with your surgeon. I hope this helps.

Answer: I am 2 months post lipo and I see no results. Is 700cc of fat a lot to have removed from 4 areas of Liposuction? Thank you for your question and series of photographs and I am sorry that your results have not been what you anticipated. It is difficult without an in-person examination to determine what may be taking place. Most commonly this is residual swelling from surgery which will spontaneously resolve but it would be important to voice your concerns to your surgeon to ensure that other issues are not taking place - discrete fluid collection, muscle laxity, or residual adipose tissue.

Answer: How much fat should be removed in lipo? At 2 months post op you still have some maturation to go through with perhaps further improvement. There is not a specific amount to be removed to obtain a specific result. The technique chosen, the patient anatomy and the doctor expertise are some of the factors that will affect the volume to be removed. For revisions I like to wait till tissues are soft again an average about 12 months from the original operation. Best wishes.
