I had lipo on 4 areas, upper and lower abs and flanks. My online chart says 1300ccs removed, 700ccs fat. I am 5'8 195lbs. My stomach feels normal with all the same fat in the same areas, my belly is not flat at all. At my one month post op visit, I expressed these same concerns and I was told to "wear a board in my garment". One month later, still no change. I watch my diet and a exercise lightly, but there has been no change. Was this enough fat?

Answer: I am 2 months post lipo and I see no results. Is 700cc of fat a lot to have removed from 4 areas of Liposuction? Thank you for your question and series of photographs and I am sorry that your results have not been what you anticipated. It is difficult without an in-person examination to determine what may be taking place. Most commonly this is residual swelling from surgery which will spontaneously resolve but it would be important to voice your concerns to your surgeon to ensure that other issues are not taking place - discrete fluid collection, muscle laxity, or residual adipose tissue.

Answer: How much fat should be removed in lipo? At 2 months post op you still have some maturation to go through with perhaps further improvement. There is not a specific amount to be removed to obtain a specific result. The technique chosen, the patient anatomy and the doctor expertise are some of the factors that will affect the volume to be removed. For revisions I like to wait till tissues are soft again an average about 12 months from the original operation. Best wishes.
