After Tummy Tuck and Lipo, 3 weeks later I got hot on the left side and sciatic pain, should I be concerned?

I am swimmer and surfer and yoga I was my Excierse, I never had back or sciatic I can not believe the pain from 1 to 10 worst is 10 my is 40 I can not breath and my pain is effect my walking and every thing. It is from my butt lock goes to my left leg and I am not able to move. What is happening to me and why and what can I do? Thanks.

I recommend following up with your Doctor for a formal evaluation to determine the cause of the pain and pain management. Pain can be treated with oral neurontin. You also have swelling, which can last 3-6 months after your procedure. I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. I think you have a disk issue that is exacerbated by the bent position you usually are in during recovery.    The disk in your back is pressing onto a nerve and that pain is radiating down to your buttock and leg.  I would see a back specialist and notify your plastic surgeon.  Best Wishes!!

a tummy tuck and liposuction shouldn't cause such symptoms because during these procedures sciatic nerve is protected between the muscles. However, you do describe typical sciatica symptoms, and you mentioned that your pain level is extremely high. I would recommend you to visit your m.d. for a detailed examination and therapy.

From your description it does sound like sciatic pain. I don't see any way that can be related to surgery on the front of the abdomen but you should see a back specialist.
