Everything Brian said he did ! He's a straight shooter and trustworthy . I had breast augmentation with him 2\24\2020. He does his procedure in a hospital first and foremost . This was very important to me and should be to you as well. His eye for detail is amazing !! I gave him full control over what he used and how . He asked me 1 question before he left the prep room , " if its go a bit bigger or a bit smaller , what would you like ?" Of course I said bigger lol. What I thought and what was actually used was totally different. I thought 250-275 would be the size of implant . Boy was I wrong ! he ended up using 325 each side , and I'm beyond happy . The way they sit and look is perfect . and all of this with out any visible bruising ! From what I've heard from others and from Brian is , "Thats pretty rare" . He truly is a master at his craft . Thanks Brian for helping me feel so comfortable and confident in my body . ... I will add before and after photos in the months to follow
On 7/12 I had breast augmentation. Got 550cc both, don't know the profile. Over the muscle. Didn't need and pain meds that night and next day only over the counter Tylenol so far. Chest is very tight. So far so good. Updated on 19 Jul 2019: Everything is softing up. Not sore for the last 2 days. Only problem now is just the tape is making it sticky. Adhesive is getting all over. Still very happy. Until the doctor tells me I can take the tape off, I will put a bandage over the tape. Updated on 6 Dec 2019: 5 months now. Been having some problems with the desolveble stiches. Not the doctors fault, just my body doesn't like them. He pulled a few more out, hopefully now will heal right. In two months when it's heals all the way, I'm going to have him cut the scar on just the top layer of the skin out and put it back together so it will look better.
I had a great experience with a previous procedure with Dr. K. So when I started looking for a Rhinoplasty surgeon, I had to include him again in my search. I ended up choosing him because of his extensive experience in Rhinoplasty/Septoplasty. Where other surgeons I talked to said they did 5-10 a year, Dr. K. stated he does 30+ a year. The questions he asked, his descriptions of his intended methods and discussion of the potential risks made it clear to me he had the expertise that I was looking for. As you can see in the photos, I had a few issues I wanted corrected. I had a low hump and drop tip which multiple surgeons referred to as a polly-beak deformity. Also I had a very bulbous tip that I wanted reduced. I showed Dr. K. the computer generated photo I did as a potential goal and he felt it was realistic and achievable. His bedside manner is one of the reasons I trust him so much. The day of surgery, he came in for a final discussion while I was being prepped. He spent a good amount of time re-explaining the complete surgical approach and answered all sorts of final questions I had. He made me feel at ease despite a lot of anxiety I was feeling. The surgery went well and so far the recovery has been ok. I have almost no bruising at all which compared to many other first week recovery photos I've seen is definitely not the norm. Also, even though I still have the external cast on I can already see the difference his work is making in my appearance. I'm very happy about that. There hasn't been much in terms of pain either. In fact I only took the pain meds for the first day and following morning of recovery. On thing I will admit however, is that the discomfort of the splints in my nose and the crusty blood is far worse than I imagined. If there was anything Dr. K. and his team could have done better it would have been to give me a better expectation of just how much the first week of recovery sucks. So far at 5 days post-op I'm super happy overall. I'm really looking forward to my 1 week follow-up when I should be getting the splints and external cast removed. While I've been told there will still be considerable swelling at that point, I think it will still be a vast improvement over my before pics. I'll update my pics after each of my follow-ups. Updated on 18 Jun 2019: Went in for my one week follow-up. Found out from Dr. K. that in addition to reducing my turbinates, he also removed a small bone spur and also corrected a small deviation in my septum. He removed the cast first and when he saw his handy work, did a little happy dance (that was a good sign). Then it was time for the moment I'd been waiting for, time to get rid of those damn splints!! When I mentioned that I had watched videos of others having theirs taken out, he mentioned how frustrating those videos are for him because the techniques used were so wrong and caused more discomfort than necessary. Well I think he was right. They came out super easy with no real discomfort at all and very little mess. Once they were out? OMG I can breathe like I've never been able to before!! It is so wonderful. After some cleanup, he removed the stitches and checked out the final product. Finally, I got my chance to look in the mirror. I cried!! Even though there is still considerable swelling, especially at the tip, the difference is amazing. I'm finally rid of that horrible nose that I have hated for so many years. The reason I would shy away from front-on selfies (the wide-angle distortion always highlighted that big bulbous monstrosity) and side profile shots (where you could see the Polly-beak). I already feel so much better taking pictures of myself and I feel like my overall facial appearance has really improved. Can't wait to see what the coming months bring but for now, here are front and profile comparison shots of the progress already. Updated on 11 Jul 2019: Had my one month follow-up with surgeon. Everything is looking very good. The swelling is down quite a bit, the bulk of swelling is around the tip of my nose and the cartilage between the nostrils. I'm now cleared to return to physical activity, I can blow my nose and as you can see in my update photo, I'm finally allowed to wear sunglasses again. Updated on 27 Sep 2019: So just had my 3 month post-op follow-up. Everything is healing very well. There is still a lot of swelling around the tio of my nose, which is to be expected, but it has gone down considerably. Sensation has mostly returned and I can breathe better than ever. Doctor is very happy with the results as well.
I just had my breast augmentation with Dr. Brian Kiesnowski from Appleton Plastic Surgery Center. I had initial consultations with three surgeons before I settled on Dr. K. I think the biggest decision maker was his bedside manner and the responsiveness of he and his staff. Dr. K. spent a lot of time answering a laundry list of questions I had. He did a great job of explaining things without over-simplification. He explained why he chose to use the method he did and what techniques he uses to minimize the risk of complications from going sub-glandular rather than sub-muscular. The procedure itself went exceptionally well. I was only in surgery for about 90 minutes. The incisions are well placed in the infra-mammary fold and are quite small. The implants are well placed and after a few months should settle into a very nice profile. One of the challenges Dr. K. had to deal with in my surgery was that I have a sunken chest but also a wide chest. So he had to be very careful in lateral placement and he did do a nice job. For pain management, Dr. K. used both rib blockers and local anesthetic during the procedure and percocet for post-op management. Day after pain is very tolerable. My one day follow-up was all positive. Both Dr. K. and his surgical assistant were very thrilled with the progress and placement and lack of significant swelling. I have a one week follow-up coming up and then additional follow-ups at 1 month, 3 months and 1 year. I'll continue to post updates. Updated on 26 Jan 2019: So I'm almost 3 weeks post op. Getting back to some activities like driving, walking, light chores. Implants are starting to drop with noticable results, but sill riding a little high. The upper pole is becoming more of a slope and less of a bubble whicb is wonderful. Dermabond is still holding tight over the incisions (I get that removed next week). Sensation in my nipples is good, a little numbness below the nipples especially on the left side. Overall healing well but can't wait to get back to working out after my 1 month follow-up. Updated on 6 Feb 2019: Just had my 1 month follow-up. According to Dr. K's nurse practitioner, everything is looking "just the way I would want to see it". They removed the Dermabond over the incisions so I got my first look at the scars, they look really good. Very subtle and as they heal over time, they should only get better. They have me using silicon scar patches and mederma daily to help soften and reduce the appearance of the scars. The implants are still a bit high, but the APNP expects that they'll continue to drop over the next couple months. Next follow-up is at the 3-Month, post-op mark. Updated on 22 Apr 2019: Saw my surgeon for my 3 month post-op appointment. Everything is healing well, the scars are getting lighter and my breasts are getting softer. They've mostly settled in at this point although they are still slightly uneven. Surgeon gave me some approaches to massage to help with that. Ultimately I'm very happy with the result. As you can see in the latest photos, they've begun to form nice infra-mammary creases and are really taking a more natural shape overall. I'm sure by the 1 year mark they're going to look spectacular. Per my surgeon's instructions, I'm still wearing a bra 24x7, although I am allowed to go a few hours without if I want to wear a backless/strapless dress or something like that. I'm wearing all manner of bra now, underwires, sports bras when I work out, etc. So nice not having to wear padded or push-up bras to have my breasts be proportional to the rest of my body. With an unlined bra under my clothes, my breasts still look amazing. So thrilled to have this part of my journey complete. Updated on 15 Jul 2020: Last I checked in, I was pretty happy and expecting things to really turn out as my breasts continued to drop. Well things didn't go as planned. My right side dropped and looks great. It's the right shape and is exactly what I hoped for. My left side is a mess. It has not dropped and is not sitting right. The top of the implant is very pronounced and even has a bump now because of how it sits. Took these pics this morning as the light hit it perfectly to see what the issue is. I'm actually in tears as I'm writing this realizing I'm going to have to come up with money for an expensive revision. Updated on 18 Jul 2020: Just adding another view that makes it even more obvious just how messed up my left breast is. This one was taken in a mirror and from further away so I apologize for the low quality. However you can still see just how high the left side is riding compared to the right. Updated on 15 Nov 2020: Ended up having a revision done to correct my left breast. IDK how they did it but somehow Dr. K's staff was able to convince my insurance carrier to cover it. Dr. went in with a few different ideas of what the problem could be, turns out it was capsular contracture. Ended up replacing the implant and adjusting the pocket a bit. Day after pics look really good. If the positioning and all hold up after the swelling goes down I should be very happy with the result. Crossing my fingers the Capsular Contracture doesn't reoccur.
Preparing for this process of a full TT, umbilical repair, MR and breast lift all at once comes with a million questions but they answer them all before you ask... even the ones you may not want to know. Bedside manner is absolutely hand down amazing - he and his staff spend time with you to put you at ease. At no time was it an “in and out and on to the next feel.” They collectively do everything possible to make sure you are prepared and at ease. My results are early but basically uneventful overall which is awesome. Recommend this doc to everyone!!
I chose Dr Kiesnowski as my physician for a "Mommy Make-over". After FIVE pregnancies (including 1 set of twins) I wanted some help getting my body back to its pre-baby condition after being pregnant for almost a decade! I waited until I was extremely close to my goal weight to begin scheduling consults with different plastic surgeons in the fox valley area. I researched these procedures extensively and the Drs on RealSelf, as well as a Mommy Makeover support group I found on Facebook. I had 4 different consults with 4 different clinics/physicians. Dr Kiesnowski and his office was my top choice! HANDS DOWN. His staff is personable and friendly! I had practically no wait time at all (for multiple consults with him to answer all my questions, including my pre-op and post op appointments. Reminder calls, emails, and texts were appreciated for this busy mom! The atmosphere in his office is exactly what I was looking for; caring, warm and friendly without being over the top like many of the clinics I visited. Communications between myself, the office and the Dr was very easy, no holds on the phone, and swift responses via email and voicemail. I did have to page the Dr on a weekend following my surgery. He called back immediately, and calmly answered my questions, and explained what I was experiencing is normal and not an emergency. I appreciated the time Dr Kiesnowski took to explain everything, answering all my questions in detail and never making me feel rushed. I was a bit indecisive when it came to making a decision on certain procedures. He and his staff were patient and helpful while I took the time to make the right decision for me. I never felt any pressure from him. Scheduling the surgery was smooth and easy. I will honestly say that I choose Dr. Kiesnowski before I compared his price list to the others I had gathered. I was thrilled when his total surgery package ended up being the best deal, which included an overnight in the hospital (which, looking back, I am SO THANKFUL for!). From my multiple consults with Dr Kiesnowski, our conversations the morning of surgery in the hospital, immediately after surgery, discharge a day after surgery, and multiple post op appointments his bedside manner Is awesome! He made myself and my husband very comfortable and confident in his hands! My results are phenomenal! I LOVE my new and improved body. I am so happy I decided on this procedure and this physician. He obviously did the hard work but he also set me up with the knowledge and supplies I needed for a smooth and successful recovery. I appreciate his no-nonsense personality. I was feeling great soon after surgery and was chomping at the bit to get back to work, he told me I must take it easy and not push it, in order to achieve optimal results. I needed to hear that, and I am so happy he insisted I stay home another week. I would absolutely recommend him to my friends and family! It is imperative you feel comfortable with your Dr and your decision, I encourage others to schedule multiple consults with multiple Drs so that you can find the best fit for you! I'm so happy I did.
Dr. Kiesnowski did a scar revision for me. Before the revision, I was pretty self conscious about my scarring. Now, it's hardly noticeable. He had excellent bedside manner and was thorough and unrushed.
I was Dr Kiesnowskis youngest breast reduction patient at 15 yo (in 2005). While being a very sensitive subject especially for a 15 year old Dr. Kiesnowski was professional, caring and overall AMAZING. Almost 12 years post- op and one baby later they still look and feel great!! Thank you for everything you did for me, you truly changed my life. I can't thank you enough!
Best bedside manner around very nice doctor amazing work and would recommend to anyone. Very nice while answering any questions and funny doctor. Best breast reduction ever done. He was very quick in returning my phone calls
I am 45 yrs old, 5'8" and 185 lbs. 2 kids and weight ups and downs has left my girls a little worse for wear. I am currently a 38C ish (depending on the bra). My husband says I look good to him (he is awesome) but he knows I have wanted this for years and is supportive of my decision. He is admittedly an ass man "but" has been giving lots of input on what he thinks would look good on me. Since I am tall, broad shouldered and curvy, I can carry off larger breasts no problem. Question is, how big? ? Started out looking at 375cc mod profile. But after seeing before/ afters, I am thinking 450-475cc. I don't have a lot of upper pole fullness and they hang quite a bit. (The song "Do your ears hang low" keeps playing in my head) . The scars on my chest and abdomen are from a car accident many years ago. Updated on 9 Sep 2014: Went in today with a friend that has implants years ago to make sure I was asking all the relevant questions and to get her opinion on size. Between the 3 of us, we narrowed it down to 375-450 cc. He will play around when he doing the lift to see what looks best. My stomach started doing flip flops and feeling queasy as soon as we set the date/ time~ 6:00 am. That will.make it easier to not eat/ drink beforehand. Now to start the supply list and slowly start getting ready and to get work all squared away with ny time off as I am planning on taking 3 weeks off. I work at a home improvement store and know I will have limits when I go back. Updated on 15 Sep 2014: Now to start narrowing down the "recovery needs" list. If anyone has suggestions, PLEASE share Updated on 23 Oct 2014: Less than a month til Booby Day and I just found out my "Breast" friend (has implants) is coming to spend the day of and 2 days after with me and the hubby! ! Super excited as this will take some pressure off of him. I have some supplies in the Booby box~ a couple bras (slightly larger), lotions, lounge pillow, 2 pairs of button front jammies, a Snuggie (don't judge, it gets chilly here in Wisconsin) recliner-hubby thinks he might find a use for it after ;) If there are any suggestions, please share. I read about gals going back to work after a week and I am planning 3-4. I work retail at a home improvement store which requires alot of walking and lifting in addition to 8 hours standing on cement. I figure it's easier to go back early rather than mess up the schedule by needing more time off. Updated on 31 Oct 2014: Had my physical with my primary DR yesterday and he gave me the all clear for my surgery. Mammogram came back good also. Preop appt is Tues, first time the hubby will meet the Dr. I have tried sleeping in the recliner, didn't go so well. It has not been properly broke in and the cushions are VERY firm. The cat (who weighs 16 lbs) has been sleeping on it so maybe that will help ;) Updated on 12 Nov 2014: Only 9 days to go. Nervous, excited and at timed, scared. I have all my recovery supplies (probably forgetting something though) Meds, vitamins, lotion, Chapstick, flushable wipes, nursing pads, panty liners (these last 2are for covering the incisions) Acetaminophen, rubbing alcohol to make cold paks, "after" bras. Also getting the house recovery ready so I can reach stuff and I will have a few places that I can plop down . My daughter is planning/cooking (at our house, so cleaning too) Thanksgiving dinner this year. Updated on 14 Nov 2014: 1Week from today. Trying to keep busy at home, freezing Christmas cookie dough, putting our tree and decorations up this weekend. Hubby and I are having a couple's massage the night before. Not sure how much I will relax but I will enjoy every minute of it cuz it will be a while before I can have another one. Also getting my legs waxed 3 days before, one less thing to try to do with "T- Rex" arms :) Updated on 19 Nov 2014: Last day of work is tomorrow. Thankfully surgery is early Friday (be there at 6am) so I won't have time to miss my coffee. I have been wearing 2 push up bras at once to work for the last 2-3 weeks so when I go back, the new girls shouldn't be as noticeable. I think I have everything ready at home... Snacks~some healthy, others, not so much Meds~pain, antibiotic, vitamins Blankets (bit "nipply" here in Wisconsin ) Pillows "Flop" spots all set with small table Jammies Fuzzy socks (keep them tootsies warm) Chapstick Lotion Christmas decorations and tree up Daughter and husband making Thanksgiving dinner~should be interesting Best friend coming for the weekend~ YAY! Movies Books Crochet projects Updated on 21 Nov 2014: Surgery went well, Dr. told my hubby that he is very happy and that he thinks I will be VERY happy! ! Feelin better than I thought I would. Tight, sore and sleepy. Shower on Sunday so I will have "after" pics then. Hoping all the other ladies surgeries eent well today!! Updated on 23 Nov 2014: Feel so much better after showering and changing the pads and bra. I am feeling much better than I was anticipating I would. No real pain, just tightness, soreness and tingling today. Taking pain meds every 4 hours and icing every couple hrs. LOTS of naps. Dr said everything went well, I did wonderfully and he thinks I will be very happy. Ended up getting 400cc mod + profile. Pictures tomorrow Updated on 24 Nov 2014: Scars are from a previous surgery Updated on 28 Nov 2014: Well, it's been a week since surgery and for the most part, not too bad. No bruising. No real pain other than at post op when the Dr tightened by bra to torture level. Felt like the straps were going to cut through my shoulders. I know it is for the best results, but ugh! He also told the hubs that HE is inn charge of making sure the girls Get fully lotioned twice a day. Imagine his torture ;) My daughter and grandson came over for Thanksgiving and she washed my hair...ahhh. Bless my hubby for trying but... It was weird NOT doing any of the cooking this year. Watch out Christmas dinner! ! A few things I have to pass on to you gals who are next up~ 1. BYOB~ bring your own (lip) balm. Hospital sticker on mine said $18.00 !!! Craziness 2. Your butt will get third and sore from sitting/ sleeping at an angle so change spots and pace around the house. Your tush will appreciate it. You will be surprised how many naps you will take. 3. Practice shower run with your helper. Seriously, make sure they understand you can't help. And how to wash your hair. 4. You will get bored. There will be nothing to watch on TV even though you have a list of movies, a full DVR and a stack of books on the table. I am sure more things will pop to mind and I will let you know as they do. Updated on 28 Nov 2014: Updated on 4 Dec 2014: Tried on many sundresses, tank tops, swimsuit tops (that was funny) lingerie and bras. Fell in love with most of them and cannot wait until summer! We are going to Jamaica in June with our best friends and it will be a very different suitcase that I will be packing from the before version. The tummy needs a little work now, back to the gym shortly. Went through my bras and "surprise! " they don't fit . Anyone know where I can donate them? Updated on 5 Dec 2014: So, it's been 2 weeks and sometimes it still feels like a dream. And part of mine is ending this weekend, back to work on Monday :( But maybe after a full day of work, I will be able to sleep ALL night. I have been working up about 2hrs after I go to bed, up for an hour, sleep for another 3-4 hrs then up for the day~no naps. Updated on 9 Dec 2014: Vacation is over, back to work yesterday. I work at a home improvement store so I am on my feet all day. You don't realize how much your boobs move and bounce throughout the day just walking around. Even wearing my most supportive bra. Usually the first thing I would do after work is take off my bra, but yesterday it was reaching for the ice paks and Tylenol ! And I don't have a day off til Sunday :( Updated on 12 Dec 2014: So the gitls are 3 weeks old today and most of the scabs and all the tape is off~ finally! Nice to see all off them. I know the wrinkles/ waves will get better as they settle in. I ran into 2 old friends this week and they both gave me BIG hugs~ ugh. Neither knows about my surgery so it was ine of thise grin and bear it moments. But also kind of nice that they both asked if I lost weight (I have a few) but that also means that the girls look natural which was my goal! And speaking of weight, I am back down to my pre surgery weight!!! Updated on 19 Dec 2014: Had my 1 month checkup yesterday and everything is great! Incisions are 99.9% scab free, just have one little one that is being stubborn. But Dr. gave me the go ahead to start using Maderma, more massaging duty for the hubby ;) I feel so good that I even having periods of time that I forget about surgery. I know the waves and wrinkles will fade and even out over the upcoming months too. I also got the Ok to start working out again, but that will have to wait till the holidays are over...too many goodies around :) Updated on 26 Dec 2014: Not much has changed in the last week. Still have the 1 little scab on the left side. Using Maderma in the morning and doing lotion massages at night. Went to a Christmas party and didn't wear a bra (hubby was thrilled about that ;) It kinda felt naughty but wonderful at the same time. Lesson learned for future braless outings...I will have to get those little sticker things to keep my nipples from making their presence known. Overall, I am very happy with my" toys" and playing with them. Looking at them from different angles, laying down and even hanging. Hubby busted me with that one and laughed at me. But did say they looked great! Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and had a wonderful New Year! ! Updated on 23 Jan 2015: Time has sure flown by. The girls have settled in nicely. Some days they are squishy and others, more on the firm side. The weird twinges and twangs are getting fewer and farther between. Using Maderma daily and also massaging the incision sites with lotion and a bit of pressure to break up the internal scar tissue. Updated on 27 Jan 2015: Went to Victoria Secret yesterday and was measured at a 36DDD. How the heck did that happen!?!?? Previous size was a small C. Looking at bras in that size, I was saying to.myself, "No way am I that big. " Well, I am that big. Now, how is swimsuit shopping going to work? Updated on 19 Feb 2015: I had my 3 month follow up yesterday and everything is great! Dr was impressed at how my scars are already starting to fade. Thank you Maderma and regular massaging! Booked our Jamaica trip (June cannot come fast enough, it's -13 temperature here today WITHOUT the windchill, which is -28 incase you were wondering) and went looking for swimsuits. Holy crap, I thought bra shopping was tough :( Updated on 2 Jun 2015: It's been a while since my last update, nothing interesting to report. The girls have settled in nicely, forget about them most of the time, I am sure that's a good thing. My scars are continuing to fade and are not thick or hard. Shopping for swimsuit tops has been an adventure, a fun one! I don't have to worry about falling out when I bend over or them sliding up when I am swimming. Summer tops are more fun too since I don't have to worry about wearing a bra. (I wear one 90% of the time) Strapless tops are a new addition to by wardrobe nowadays. They actually stay up! ! I guess the only exciting thing is our Jamaica vacation is in 10 days and my suitcase will be bursting with all the fun tops, sundresses and swimsuits (2 bikini tops, 1 one piece and 3 tankinis, to be exact) . I can't wait ! Here are some current pics. Updated on 7 Jun 2015: Some before and afters in some of my fun tops and last year's swim suit top. I should add that I have lost a few pounds since the before pictures. Updated on 24 Nov 2016: Hard to believe it has been 2 yrs since my surgery. The girls are full and perky and I love them. Funny how much of a difference they have made in my confidence. My scars are very light and almost not there. I used Maderma daily and still use my face lotion (with a nice massage) everyday. I also sleep in a supportive sports bra type bra 5 days a week. They need a couple nights of freedom.
The need to walk hunched over is very common for several days up to several weeks for patients after tummy tuck. At some point, you will eventually be able to walk completely upright but that may not happen right away. I recommend that my patients sleep in a recliner for several days usually at least a week postoperatively until they are comfortable standing upright. It does eventually happen. When you have the surgery your muscles are pulled together very tightly as well as your skin. Both muscles and skin will eventually stretch so most Physicians pull you very tight to compensate for that. As you heal and begin to feel better your belly will relax and you will be able to stand upright. Most patients are able to stand upright after 2 to 3 weeks. If you are having concerns over this please contact your plastic surgeon. He or she will be able to reassure you that you are healing appropriately. Remember every patient heals differently so you may take longer than someone else. You may also take less time than someone else as well. Thank you for the great question!
In general, most of my patients are back to doing normal work activities 6-8 weeks following surgery. Since you will be training as a massage therapist, I would suggest one additional followup prior to beginning the course just to make sure that your doctor is happy with how your breasts are healing. Depending on whether your implants are over or under the muscle will make a difference in your recovery time and when you should be cleared for full normal activities. If you have an uneventful recovery there should be no reason that you cannot begin training 9-10 weeks after surgery, but check with YOUR doctor for his/her opinion on your specific case. Good Luck with your upcoming surgery!
Capsular contracture can happen to anyone at any time post operatively. Although is is not common, I have seen more capsular contracture with textured implants placed by other physicians. I cannot definitively say whether this complication is mechanical or technical. I have not personally done a study on whether what I am seeing is related to the implant selection or the surgical technique. I generally use round smooth implants and I always have. I don't see many capsular contractures in cosmetic augmentations. Check with your doctor and ask what he is seeing over time.
I would definitely check in with your plastic surgeon regarding the amount of discharge you are having. You might have an underlying seroma that needs to be addressed. Just because you have drainage does not mean you have an infection so definitely check in with your doctor before starting more antibiotics. It is unlikely that your insurance will cover any wound issues associated with this surgery unless they covered the surgery itself. We carry Aesthetisure for our patients who have cosmetic surgeries in order to give some coverage should a patient have an unexpected course post operatively. We have only used it one time in 15 years but the patient was very happy to have the coverage when she needed it. Please follow up with your doctor as soon as possible to address your concerns and drainage.
First and foremost you have a great result. I usually try to tell patients that for the most part swelling will not go down for at least 3 months. At about 3 months your swelling should have decreased about 60 - 70%. Full healing and Final appearance will generally not be evident until somewhere between 6 and 12 months postoperatively. Based on your photos I can assure you that you do not look ridiculous. Sometimes looking in the mirror takes a little bit of an adjustment. Because what you had before is what you have been used to looking at your whole life. What you have now, is completely different. I can assure you that you have an outstanding result and ask you to please be patient with your healing. Make sure to talk to your surgeon about your concerns. I am sure that he will tell you the same thing. Be patient, it takes time for your body to fully heal.
