I just found out that I am pregnant. I had a lower body lift and breast lift November 27th with no muscle repair. Can I still have a successful, healthy pregnancy? I am very worried as this was not planned and preventative measure were taken...
Answer: Pregnancy after body lift... Congratulations on your new pregnancy. You can still have a healthy pregnancy after body lift surgery. However, you can discuss this issue with your OB so they're aware of the suturing that was done to the abdominal wall. As far as pregnancy and excess skin, it is possible that some of the excess skin removed may return.Best wishes, Dr. ALDO

Answer: Pregnant shortly after LBL. Can I still have a successful, healthy pregnancy? Hello, thank you for your inquiry and congratulations on your pregnancy! No there is no problem after having a lower body lift, I would suggest discussing it with your OB anyways. Perhaps your skin will stretch out again a bit, after pregnancy you could have a secondary LBL if you desire. Best of luck!

Answer: 360 lower bodylift circumferential lower body lift pregnancy after lower body lift pregnancy and muscle repair Hello, congratulations! What a wonderful blessing! Unless you have other significant medical issues, the lower body lift should not impede your pregnancy. Even if muscle plication had been done during your 360 circumferential lower body lift, you should have a normal, full-term baby. I have had approximately 20 patients who have delivered quite normal, beautiful babies after their lower body lift with me. Your baby should be fine. In regards to maintaining your body lift results, work closely with your obstetrician. You need to gain a certain amount of weight for your baby’s health. This is very important. After your delivery, it will be important for you to maintain proper nutrition for breast-feeding. However, after delivery you should get on a good exercise routine to maintain optimal body shape. Good luck, and congratulations. I hope that I have answered your questions regarding whether you will have a healthy baby and safe pregnancy after a lower body lift. If you have any more questions regarding pregnancy after a lower body lift, please contact my office. Sincerely, Dr.Katzen.

Answer: Pregnancy after LBL Congratulations!!!First you must acknowledge that not even a muscle repair or LBL or both would prevent a normal pregnancy and delivery. You will preserve your results after the pregnancy ONLY if you maintain the weight throughout the pregnancy. So if your pregnancy goes well, you may continue doing light exercise until almost the end of the process. Remember you do not have to eat for two people. If you only put on 14-20 lbs your results will be there after all.Brest is a bit different because they will fill in and deflate several times a day and Be encouraged!!!Dr. Cárdenas
