I’ve been to see 3 consultants and the last one recommended a 360 instead of a standard tummy tuck. However it means I wouldn’t be able to get arms done too which I also want. I feel like I don’t really need one as the “back fat” doesn’t bother me too much and I still have 3 stone to lose. Any advice would be appreciated please.
Answer: Comparison Thank you for your question. With the pictures you send I am unable to advise you, but the 360 surgery is recommended when the patient have redundant skin in the back but seems that is not your case. But is seems to me that you need major liposuction in the waist and lower back as well as fat transfer in the Butt is you desire to have more curves.

Answer: 360 Body lift Thanks for your question. Whether or not it would be worthwhile undergoing a 360 degree body lift to include excision of tissue on the lower back really depends on your aesthetic goals. I would recommend getting as close to your ideal weight as possible prior to surgery to give the best long-term result and reduce the risk of complications. You could also consider having a tummy tuck in the first instance with some liposuction, and have your back addressed at a later date if feel it is necessary.

Answer: Body Lift vs Tummy Tuck Hi Jujuemma, Thank you for your question regarding whether you need a body lift or an extended tummy tuck. In your case, I would suggest you lose the 3 stone first and then reassess your body. It is rare that people "need" a body lift. However, people have a 360 circumferential lower body lift if their hips and buttocks bother them. If your hips and buttocks do not bother you, you do not need a lower body lift. However, if you lose 3 more weight, your hips and buttocks may start to bother you. I would keep your options open. I would also wait on having your arm lift, arm reduction, or brachioplasty until you have lost further weight. Either way, I would suggest you lose the weight first and then reassess your body. I hope that I have answered your question regarding whether to have a body lift or an extended tummy tuck. Before you make any decisions regarding360 circumferential lower body lift, I would suggest you seek consultation with a body lift expert. Please seek an experienced, board-certified, plastic surgeon. Travel out of state if you must to find such a360 circumferential lower body lift expert. If you have any more questions regarding the 360 circumferential lower body lift or plastic surgery in general, please contact my office. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen(Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and member of the American Society Plastic Surgeons, International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and Fellow of American College of Surgeons and American Board for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery)

Answer: Tummy tuck candidate Dear jujuemma, based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a TT and liposuction. Full tummy tuck should tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the excess skin. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

Answer: Depends Many thanks for your query. There are a number of factors to consider here:First is fitness for surgery - a 360 needs optimal health as it is a much bigger operation.- how much loose tissue do you have in the buttock and lower back regions - from your pics it is difficult to tell.Best to consult with a surgeon who does a lot of these.Hope this is helpfulMark
