I'm so disappointed. After spending 12k,second surgery and scar revision, I thought there would be more improvement. It seems like the skin did not adhere. The second revision didn't make any difference. The Scar revision was an improvement. I thought it would look better after now the sagging time is further down under my chin.
I've wanted to get implants for a while but figured I would need a lift. I researched the fool out of all the doctors in Texas. Dr.Kerr kept popping up and I loved how consistent his results were. I met with Dr. Kerr and he explained everything/answered all of my questions. I was terrified of the scars and pain. Both of my sisters have had breast lifts with implants and they were in serious pain afterwards (both went to different surgeons). I loved the ladies at his offices! They helped me pick the implant size and gave me feedback based on the look I was going for. I had a breast lift with implants (485 cc's) in May 2021. I woke up after the surgery in zero pain. I had no issues the entire time healing. I will say, research how your body heals after getting implants. Knowing that I wouldn't see full results for a few months helped keep my nerves in check. I knew they needed to drop and it would take awhile to see the "real" result. My scars have healed BEAUTIFULLY! I know this is a weird thing to say, but I was also super worried about how my nipples would look afterwards. I feel like that's usually a dead giveaway, even if your scars heal. Idk how he did it but they came out perfect (in my opinion). I love that my new breast shape looks very natural on my frame. Overall, I'm totally obsessed and think he did a fantastic job. 10/10 would recommend him to anyone who wanted to get their breasts done.
I have been considering surgery since losing nearly 100lbs and maintaining for the last 2 years. I finally had my abdominoplasty, breast lift with augmentation, and Lipo almost 2 weeks ago now. I am very nervous about the healing process as I had a pretty intense reaction to the glue and tape placed initially. I overall and doing well but I feel like the tape having to be removed might impact the look of my scars or healing in some way. Updated on 14 Apr 2021: Forgot to add the recovery pics with the post Updated on 14 Apr 2021: All of the skin at the site of incision was covered with skin glue and tape to help flatten the scars and provide support. About one week after the surgery I was itching so badly that I couldn’t sleep at all. I was taking Benadryl and icing constantly. They removed the tape and glue as best they could in office and slowly but surely things have been improving since. Updated on 16 Apr 2021: I never actually took real "before" pics but here are a few that I took of my progress of weight loss for reference. I am 5'6" currently around 160 lbs. At my highest weight I was around 250. I was lucky to not have a terrible amount of skin sagging, but the stomach, breasts, and butt are my most self conscious areas which led me to the mommy makeover. I did plenty of research and felt that Synergy Plastic surgery and Dr. Kerr were a great fit for me. The entire process was smooth and though I rescheduled due to COVID and some financial concern, I felt like I never had any problems with communication. Updated on 27 Apr 2021: Almost 4 weeks today. Everything is healing up pretty well. Still feel increased pain on the left side but trying some new bras out to see if that helps at all.
I love this doctor so much, I have no scarring except faint white lines from my breast augmentation. Everyone was so kind and helpful start to finish and I am so grateful. Was very attentive and does beautiful work. I've had my boobs for 3-4 years now and I cant praise this place enough.
I always have a great experience at synergy! I did a skinny bbl and when I say Dr Kerr SNATCHED my waist like omg I cant even believe this is me, he definitely did an amazing job, my butt looks great && I got more projection which I'm surprised cuz I didn't have a lot of fat, he got way more fat out then we both expected, he was able to put 720 cc's in each cheek ! and my waist have the hour glass shape I was looking for...Dr. Kerr was realistic and very nice, he called me the same day after my surgery to check on me...I definitely will recommend him && is happy to officially be a Kerr Kitten !!!!! Updated on 23 Oct 2020:
Highly recommend Dr. Mahlon Kerr and his entire practice! After 3 kids, I had diastasis recti and an umbilical hernia and was dealing with a ton of health issues. He performed the surgery back in July and I could not be happier with the results. The first couple weeks post op are pretty rough getting around so you definitely need help. I also decided to go ahead with breast augmentation to perk up my boobs after years of nursing. The boobs were the easy part of this whole process. His work is flawless and Im so happy! Updated on 30 Sep 2019: Here are pics taken 3 weeks prior to my surgery. You can see my umbilical hernia and diastasis recti. After 3 kids, I tried every workout and cleanse out there, but could not get my stomach flat. I was 37yrs old, 5’8 and 152bs pre surgery and was excited yet terrified at the same time to get my body back to normal. Also decided on Saline under the muscle implants. I was a 36C going into surgery.
I researched many surgeons and then was recommended to Dr. Kerr by two different people. He was the only one I went and had a consult with and immediately knew I was in the right place when I had that. My results are perfect! Someday I want bigger! Pre op I was a 34barelyB now I’m a 34DD. 520CCs in both.
45 years old, 5”2, 145 lbs, Breast fed 2 kids (now teens) two c-sections, planning on 415 ccs Allergen gummy implants. Mommy Makeover- Breast lift and implants, lipo to the underarm area and tummy tuck. I’m truly terrified. Ive wanted this for years and when I booked 6 months ago, I was super excited. Now I’m just scared. The pain, the anesthesia, the pain pills mixed with muscle relaxers and the blood thinner injections 10 days post op. I know it’s a common surgery but still... I chose Dr Kerr at Synergy in Austin. He spent a good hour on my first consultation and then another 45 on my pre op. There was no comparison to any other doctor I saw. His staff is amazing. Updated on 8 Jun 2019: I was extremely nervous, but Dr. Kerr and his staff made me feel completely at ease. I remember going into the OR and then waking up with my husband there. Apparently, I asked him to contact my agent because I’m a model now lol. I don’t remember much except lots of abdominal pain. The boobs were just super tight with light stabbing sensation in the center of my chest. Updated on 8 Jun 2019: It’s been rough. Like having 4 c-sections at once and my chest stretched so tight it feels like it will tear. Very uncomfortable. Taking Oxy every 4 hours, muscle relaxers, blood thinner injections, arnica, laxatives, and colace. Husband Is emptying drains every few hours but refuses to look at the stitches. It’s scary to look at. Thank god I bought a recliner! I have no idea how I’d be sleeping without it. Updated on 11 Jun 2019: The recovery is much harder than I expected. The boobs aren’t bad at all. Sore, tight, tingly -feel like engorgment and letdown during breastfeeding. Even the lipo under the arm doesn’t bother me. The tummy on the other hand is rough. I’m sore, tight, bloated from constipation, bruised and very tender from lipo and drain insertions. I have a high tolerance for pain but this is way more than I thought. Day 4 has me depressed and sad as I undressed to shower thinking I looked like Frankenstein. I’m Walking hunched over, with the addition of the padded binder, compression hose, and the drain switch hang from a lanyard around my neck, I look like an old woman. It Is the least attractive I have ever felt in my life, which is ironic because I did this all to make myself feel attractive. I know it’s temporary, and I know it takes time, I think that because I stopped the pain meds today too, I am feeling a little emotional. I will say a MUST HAVE For this surgery is a recliner. I don’t know how I would have gotten through the first few days without it. Updated on 13 Jun 2019: Feeling a million times better! My tummy isn’t as tight and I can stand up straighter. Had a post op appt with Dr. Kerr and he didn’t like the way the stitches were so red on some areas so he gave me a topical and refilled the antibiotic script. His nurse, Felicia, who I adore removed a drain and it felt completely disgusting, but no pain. I can finally sleep on my side! Updated on 29 Jul 2019: The pain and 24/7 uncomfortable feeling feels like a dream. I’m showering standing up again and shaving my legs! Driving, bending, doing pretty much everything but lifting and moving things. Still hunched over a bit and sore in spots. Bruising is minimal. I am so IN LOVE with my body, as is my husband. I was shopping today and caught a glimpse of myself in a mirror and for the first time in 15 years I was truly happy with what I saw. However, my TT indecision is infected despite doing everything as instructed. It just happens. There is glue flaking off- it’s not puss or dead skin but definitely red and irritated. Updated on 29 Jul 2019: I am thrilled with my results! I wore a bikini to the pool and a body in dress to a wedding. I feel sexy and beautiful and the way my husband looks at me... I couldn’t be happier. Best decision I ever made! Boobs are dropping. Occasional soreness in the muscle. Still have some spots on the breast and tummy that are refusing to heal as quickly as the rest. But still so happy! Updated on 26 Sep 2021: 100% feeling back to my nipples after 3 months. Loving the way my body looks. Still have visible scars, but they are lightening over time. Best thing I ever did for myself. The recovery on the TT was rough, but I would do it again I a heartbeat.
I found Dr. Kerr after extensive research and a handful of consultations. He seemed confident in his abilities, experienced in post weight loss patients, and has a nice portfolio of before/after photos. I have chosen him as my surgeon. I will be getting a lower body lift (360) with a breast lift and implants next week. To be continued... Updated on 15 May 2019: My surgical experience went flawless! A little about me: 41yr 135lb 5'5" Status post weight loss patient, >100lbs 14 BWD Natrelle Inspira soft touch 445 L/445 R The staff at the Surgery Suite were pleasant. Dr. Kerr's attention to detail (I won't say OCD) is ideal. He took his time mapping out his artwork on my skin, maintaining professionalism at all times. After waking, he visited me prior to his departure. He discussed how he sat me up 10 times while working on my breasts. That's pretty impressive, once or twice is the norm. This further reinforced my previous suspicion that he takes pride in his craft. First couple of days post OP are challenging. Your body is limited, sore, drained. This passed quickly. Initial impression of my body... beautiful lower body lift. The incision is low and symmetrical. Breasts... incisions look great! My right breast is high, but I can feel how tight it is. I have confidence the final result will be perfect. Dr. Kerr warned me prior to surgery that I probably wouldn't like my breasts possibly for a few months. It seems they take a bit of time to achieve their final look. I have 4 drains to the abdomen that have had minimal drainage since day 1. They will come out soon. I really feel great! I stopped narcotic pain meds on post OP day 2, and stopped all pain meds (tylenol) on day 5. My lower back is sore, but that's my only complaint. I know it's due to my slightly hunched posture as well as sleeping on my back (not a fan). In the grand scheme of things, with how big of a surgery this was, this back discomfort is so minute. Every day I see and feel improvement. Kudos to Dr. Mahlon Kerr and his colleagues. Top notch experience! To be continued... Updated on 5 Jun 2019: Today marks the 4 week post op date. I seem to be healing well. I have quite a bit of abdominal swelling and my breasts are still riding high. But, I'm already so pleased with where I am in comparison to prior to surgery. My confidence has definitely been boosted. I look forward to my final results!!
I had my first breast augmentation when I was 20. I was naturally a 32 a and I felt very insecure with my small size. I went to a local surgeon and he made me a 32 c. I was happy with the size but just a few months later I had an overwhelming amount of rippling. The surgeon underfilled my saline implant. Fast forward 5 years later, I decided i wanted to be larger. I told the surgeon I wanted a d and he Made me almost a g! At first I didn’t mind until I tried to find clothes and then there was the whole insecure thing at the beach. I felt like everyone would stare because I’m 5 4 and 110. This surgeon shouldn’t have gone that big on someone my frame in the first place! It was aweful! After many consultations (over 5) I decided to see Dr. Kerr. He was over 2 hours away but I felt so comfortable from the time I stepped in for consultation to now. He knew how frustrated I felt because of the unproportional size I was. I was literally in tears and wished I had never done plastic surgery in the first place. He advised me that a lift and smaller implants would fit me better. I decided to book surgery with him. I’ve always had bad healing problems and I knew this was a complicated surgery going from 32 g-32d. Just like expected, I had some minor healing issues (not because of surgeon technique but because of how much skin and pocket revision performed). Dr. Kerr was very thorough in my follow ups and made sure I was on the quickest road possible for recovery. I healed and he was there for me every step of the way. I love the results now and i feel like they are the best they’ve ever looked. He still is there for me for any questions. I don’t think any other surgeon would take as much time on follow ups as Kerr. I highly recommend him to my family and friends. I am from the San Antonio area and I would definitely make the drive for expert care. Not only is Dr. Kerr amazing, his whole staff is always so friendly and welcoming when I call or have my follow ups.
from your pictures it looks like a standard tummy tuck with liposuction of your hips should work well for you. The breast pocket could also be adjusted so symmetry is better. I would visit with a few plastic surgeons to learn more about your options. Good luck! Dr K
hi there. This is totally possible and easy in general. Sometimes the cost of a difficult mole removal, however, may be substantially less in the office. The areas are numbed like a cavity at the dentist so it’s pretty easy either way. Ask your surgeon. Good luck! Dr K
from the pictures it’s possible that a slightly larger implant would work and you could pass on the lift for now. You may want one in the future depending on how things settle. I would visit with a few more surgeons and see what they think. Good luck!
quite possibly yes but you are really more of a weight loss patient. Some type of abdominoplasty, breast surgery, and skin tightening for arms and legs would be common procedures for a massive weight loss case. I agree that you should hit your goal weight and then visit with a few plastic surgeons to see your options. We would be happy to see you when you’re ready. Cheers.
In my experience they may cover a small portion for a true hernia repair but diastasis alone is typically not covered. I think you’ll be surprised to see how little the coverage for the hernia would be. This is the reason why most busy plastic surgeons don’t accept any insurance plans. Good luck!
