I had a 360 total body lift. I went to the surgeon to see if I was a candidate since I weighed 163 lbs and had never lost a drastic amount of weight to have any extra skin. I mainly wanted the "stubborn belly fat" removed. I have tried every diet and exercise with no results so surgery was a last resort. I am 2 months post OP and I literally look exactly the same. Will I see results soon? How long until I could see maximum results? I'm super frustrated.

Answer: Results of surgery Dear SD1984,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a tummy tuck surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides you will be able to see the final result of your surgery.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

Answer: Body lift results Congratulations on your body lift, SD1984! It’s still too early to see your final results since you’re only two months post op and at the early stage of your healing. There’s still a lot of swelling present, which is probably why you feel that there hasn’t been a lot of change in your body. Wait for at least six months to see your final results. For any other concerns, don’t hesitate to follow-up with your reputable and board-certified plastic surgeon. Best of luck!
