F32 down 212lbs since October 2021, 157lbs 5'7. I workout doing combat sports and conditioning 12-13 hours a week, no chronic medical conditions. I've been on a weight loss and fitness journey for a while now, and have always thought my goal weight would be 150, but that was arbitrary. I recently got a follow up DEXA scan, and found that my torso is at 21% body fat, with my overall body fat of 26%, which was lower than I thought (my legs, however, are at 32% ). With my body fat lower than I expected, I realize that each additional pound I lose isnt going to contribute meaningfully to an improved appearance. In other words, I keep waiting to look fit but now it seems thats not likely. However, I assume Ill require a lot of procedures, and know that these types of surgeries are often shorter on those with lower body fat. Is there a world where an additional 8lbs lost might result in being able to bundle one more procedure into a surgery? And if so is that a good reason to delay seeking out a consult until Ive lost more weight? Or am I not lean enough for that to make a difference? Ive found the surgeons Im interested in have (understandably) significant fees for a consult, and I dont want to waste a round of consults only for that additional weight to change the game plan/potential possibilities. Thank you for your time!
What would be best to get rid of the back roll at the bottom and the sacral fat pad? Im in the middle of losing weight but I hate the roll at my lower back and sacral fat pad. Ive had lipo on the butt shelf but it still never looked the way I wanted it to. This has a very bad effect on my mental health.
I lost 100 lbs after having gastric bypass and as a result I have redundant skin issues. I have had two body contouring procedures so far. In May I had a lower body lift and then last week I had an upper body lift. I am interested in having a thigh lift and arm lift in July. I have been told by one surgeon that he does not like to combine these due to mobility issues during recovery. I really want to limit my surgeries to three, can anyone offer advice on this matter?
I canot imagine how is it possible to do scarless lifting? If great amount of fat has been sucked out the space created inside will disappear? The skin is just like balloon when stretched it doesnot come back to normal when it shrinks? For example thigh lifting? Are there internal sutures where the skin is lifted for only short period of time and after that operation for a year the lifting will disappear?
Im 29 y/o male, who lost over 100lbs, now left with excess skin around my belly area, back and some on the inner thighs. I've kept my weight off since 2008. I do cardio and strength training regular, in general I'm very healthy. How much would these procedures cost all included? When is the best time to get a consult if Im planning on getting a body lift April 2014 ( I have to give a month worth of notice at work)
Hello! I've asked questions before, and a apparently a decent candidate for this procedure. However- i kno you prefer weight stabilize? What is too much of a recent weight fluctuation? -- I was 270 plus, pre-gstric sleeve in 2017. I made it to (lowest weight 164), bounced up a tad to 175 and tht was my weight in January 2023. I'm down to 162. Not trying to lose any additional, but should i maintain this for 6 months or am i fine to start getting consultations? 39 yrs 5'5
Im planning a circumferential lower body lift to address skin laxity from massive weight loss, but I have both horizontal and vertical laxity in my abdomen. Can FDL be combined with the body lift to get the best results? I would really like to avoid a revision if the body lift leaves vertical laxity in my skin closer to the rib cage.
Highest Weight: 280lbs Current weight: 163lbs Height: 5'6 So, I want to be around 150lbs BEFORE surgery but I honestly feel like I cannot lose much more. At the same time I do not want to pay an extreme amount of money for results that I do not want. Should I wait until I reach my 150lb marker? How much weight/fat could be removed? Realistically, I'd like to be 140lbs (5'6) I believe that is a healthy weight. Is this unrealistic? Thank you.
