I recommend an in person evaluation by a plastic surgeon to be measured and discuss your goals. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of former patients with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants. My patients tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size breast implant is right for them. They also get to see what they would look like when the implants have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. 90% or more of my patients are back to work in an office setting by the fifth day after surgery. Always a good idea to check with your surgeon's protocol.Dr. Ted Eisenberg, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author RealSelf Distinguished Hall of Fame Inductee

Hello, thank you for your question. If you are cancer free and your thyroid function is within normal limits and you are otherwise healthy, the Brazilian butt lift would seem like a great choice for you. Find an expert at BBLs who has good before and after pictures and good reviews.
Dear 3mom13,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. You will need to get a clearance from your doctor prior to surgery. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. This is a question to ask to your oncologist, but if you had the cancer and have finished all your cancer treatments the surgery can be done, but I also see you have multiple sclerosis, so you do have several conditions that increase your surgery risk. The best recommendation would be to go to your primary doctor and inform him/she of you intention to have an aesthetic plastic surgery procedure, if they say it is OK, you can go to your plastic surgeon where risk will been evaluated after you doctors recommendation and physical examen for final risk surgery evaluation but you need to know you have a higher risk than a disease free patient.
A history of thyroid cancer should not interfere with breast augmentation. In our office we require every surgical patient to get a pre op clearance which states they are ok from a health stand point to move forward with surgery. I would meet with your physician who is overseeing your MS care and discuss that you are thinking about undergoing elective surgery for cosmetic breast augmentation and see how he/she feels. Best of luck to you!
Your history of thyroid cancer should not interfere with your desire for breast augmentation. However, you will want to receive medical clearance from the doctor you see for your MS before proceeding with a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon near you.
There should be no issue with regard to your past thyroid history. Please consult the doctor who is monitoring your MS to obtain medical clearance before proceeding with a breast augmentation, or any cosmetic procedure. Then consult with a board certified PS.Best of luck!
You should only undergo elective cosmetic surgery if you are in good/stable health. There are no contraindications for breast implant surgery and thyroid disease. If you are on any medications for your MS, these might affect your healing after the procedure. Please contact your MS doctor to determine if you can tolerate the operation. Also, consult with only Board Certified Plastic Surgeons for your implant surgery.Good Luck!
I suggest talking to your primary care doctor about getting medical clearance for elective cosmetic surgery.I suggest talking to your primary care doctor about getting medical clearance for elective cosmetic surgery. You should also have a few in person consultations with local board-certified plastic surgeons to get a proper assessment if this is an appropriate procedure for you. There are numerous variables to take into consideration and there is no such thing as a simplistic yes or no answer to your question.Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
If you get a medical clearance from your primary care physician, your surgeon may agree to proceed with surgery. This is something you need to discuss with your surgeon. Other surgeon's opinions do not matter here.
I would suggest discussing this with your surgeon. Adding volume does not lift the breasts. The sooner you reduce your implants, the less stretch on your tissue remains.
Upper breast fullness can be achieved in several ways, but placing the implants behind the muscle is one of the best ways.
