I’m 28 years old, mother of 2, 5’2and about 110 lbs. I’m planning to have breast augmentation. My expectation is that I would like to have round bigger but natural- looking breast. I’m currently wearing an a cup bra and those are hardly even fit. I have included a picture of my desired result as well. Is my expectation is too high? And what kind of implant or technique would you be suggest? Thank you very much!

Answer: Breast lift or augmentation Dear Asiangdoll35, determining whether you need simply a breast augmentation versus a breast lift can be somewhat complicated. It depends on a number of factors including skin laxity and current nipple position. Generally speaking, if the nipples are lower than the inframammary line the patient will most likely need a breast lift. If the nipples are at or above the inframammary line we can generally get by with just a breast augmentation depending on the size of the implant the patient wants. I often still using implant when I perform a breast lift because it provides more upper breast fullness after the lift. To be sure a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon will help determine what the patient actually needs. Answer: Interested in breast augmentation + breast lift. Is my expectation too high? Hi. It is important to keep in mind that, no matter what your surgeon does or tries to do for you, he/she cannot give you new breasts. Many things do not change after surgery: the quality of the skin, the separation of the breasts, or cleavage, and the overall breast shape. Certainly, a breast lift with implants can give you fuller, more youthful breasts with smaller areolas, even if they will never look like those in your wish photo. The combination of a breast lift and implant is very challenging. Make sure you see a very experienced surgeon to explore your best options!
