You might benefit from a browlift as well. There is no true limit on the amount of surgeries done in an area as long as the surgery can be performed safely by a competent board certified plastic surgeon. I recommend finding a surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Ideally, one with experience in facial aesthetic surgery.

I don't see any excess fat in your upper lids and you may actually be one of the types that will hollow out even more as you age so I'd be careful about removing too much fat here. There IS cap in how much you can remove, which is can you close your eyes. If you can't close your eyes anymore, then you should stop. If you can still close your eyes even with soft eye closure, you could probalby handle a little more eskin removal. But I would be very careful about going to a really good surgeon.

Providing that you have current skin folds removed it will expose your upper eyelid, globe and orbit and create very hollow appearance. What about placing some fat grafts in the area bellow orbital rim to reduce hollowness. That should be discussed with a board certified plastic surgeon with experience in this particular fat grafting technique. Good luck.

There is not a limit. However, each additional surgery comes with more scar tissue which makes it technically more difficult to do. Certainly, if you have had 2 failures then it is possible to do a 3rd surgery. The surgeon will examine you prior to determine how much excess skin to remove and allow your eyes to close completely.

The normal distance from your eyelashes up to the crease of your upper eyelid is somewhere around 9 mm to 1 cm. There also is approximately 1 cm from your upper eyelid crease to your brow. The skin just below your eyebrows is thicker than the skin of your upper eyelid. If too much skin is removed above the crease of your upper eyelid, it will pull the skin that is just below your eyebrows downward, attaching it to your upper eyelid skin and there will be a thickness this match. Removing too much skin, as you have already noted your concern, can leave patients unable to close their eyes. A simple pinch test of the skin of the upper eyelid should give a reasonable guideline as to how much skin can be removed and still retain the ability to close your eyes as well as matching the skin thicknesses. Thank you for the question and photo. There isn't a cap on the number of blepharoplasty procedures, and we use the same incision each time so there isn't an additional scar. We can check in the office how much skin you have to prevent eye closure issues, which you indicated is a concern for you.

There isn't a true limit per se. If there is excess skin and fat that can be removed, then an experienced surgeon shouldn't have any significant issues with a revision blepharoplasty. Keep in mind that this type of surgery isn't permanent as aging changes to the orbit continue. Conservative fat removal is always warranted to avoid creating an aged, hollow appearance to the eye. The more times fat is removed, the more likely you are to experience this in the future.

The submitted photo only shows a portion of your eyes so it's not possible to say whether you'd be a candidate for further blepharoplasty surgery. The risks do increase with each procedure. I encourage you to meet with a board certified plastic surgeon near you for an evaluation. Be sure that you understand what you can expect in terms of results and compare that with your surgical goals to determine if it is a good idea to proceed.

Generally speaking I would say after one revision people should stop having surgery, unless there is an obvious Opportunity that making substantial improvements.
