It’s been 7 days since my BA. I don’t see that much of a difference. I had my surgery on 10/20/17. I waited years to get this procedure done and I don’t see to much of a difference. My goal was a full C cup. Will my implants grow?
Answer: My implants don’t seem big. Thank you for your question and photographs. After placement of implants, the appearance of the breasts will change dramatically over the next several months, as the implants drop, and the overlying tissue stretches to accommodate the extra volume. In your case the swelling from surgery is likely flattening your implants and holding them high on your chest, making them appear small. Though your breast size will not “grow,” as this swelling resolves the volume within the implant will redistribute towards the lower portion of your breast achieving a more natural appearance, and filling your bra cup more. I know waiting is difficult, but judge your results at 4-6 months after surgery as most of your breast changes should have occurred by then. Hang in there!

Answer: 520 cc implant not large enough? For many reasons it is much to early to judge or criticize your result. Without other information it is impossible to say, but it is highly likely that you will achieve your full C cup goal. In addition, assuming normal anatomy and average size, I would guess that a 520 cc implant is probably as large as could be safely placed.

Answer: 1 Week Post Op I'm sorry to read that you are not fully happy with your procedure. You are still early in the healing process and shouldn't consider this as your "final size." Give yourself about 3-6 months for the implants to drop and fluff into their final position and at that time reevaluate your before and after pictures with your surgeon. Good luck!

Answer: One week post operation. Are 520 cc implant large enough? It is far too early to make any statements as to size or shape. Usually the patient looks great on the table, and then the implants will rise up, and then start to fall into place in a month. Sometimes it takes 6 to 12 months for implants to fall into position. We all wish that patients would get the final result in a week, (or two), but this is far from reality. Please be patient. Please follow your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon's post operative recommendations. Let your plastic surgeon know your thoughts.

Answer: My implants don’t seem big. I was a size A and got 520cc Inspira silicone soft touch. 1 week post-op. Thank you so much for this question. After only one week, it's simply too early to judge your breast size as a "final" size. Your skin and deeper tissue needs to stretch and accommodate your breast implant. In a few weeks, a certain amount of drop and fluff might begin to occur and you should see your size and shape change. Always discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon at your follow up visits. Best wishes, Dr. ALDO
