Your question highlights the need to find an expert injector when considering Botox for cosmetic improvements. Botox should never “freeze” the face, no matter where it is used. The goal with Botox is always to improve the patient's appearance while still allowing them a full range of facial expressiveness. Please find a board-certified dermatologist for your Botox rhinoplasty who has proven expertise in using Botox to lift the nose.
Hello,Thank you for your question. If Botox is injected into the sides of the nose that's the only area it will freeze. It will stop you from being able tonwrinkle your nose and create "bunny lines" as many people know them. Good luck!
By nose lift- I'm not sure what you mean.... Some people don't like their nose appearance when they smile because it gets pulled down a bit... This can be treated with botox. Some people don't like seeing all the gums when they smile- this can be treated with botox.. Some people don't like the scruntchy nose lines that show up- these can also be treated with botox. The nose can't be otherwise shaped or lifted with botox. Some fillers can make minor adjustments to the nose. Significant changes are best made through nose reshaping surgery called rhinoplasty. Hope this helps and God Bless!Dr. Robb
No, if injected properly, Botox won't freeze the face with this type of treatment. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for sharing your question. In most instances Botox placed along the sides of the nose is to help improve upon either a gummy smile or the "bunny" lines and will not freeze your face. Hope this helps. Be sure to see an ASPS plastic surgeon in consultation.
This is a great question, thanks for asking. Firstly, BOTOX® won’t be able to “lift” your nose in the sense of a nonsurgical alternative to rhinoplasty. However, when injected to the sides of the nose, i.e. the “bunny lines,” it can have a nice smoothing effect and help you achieve a more youthful look. If injected properly, BOTOX® shouldn’t have a freezing effect, though. In other words, working with a skilled plastic surgeon or experienced injector should yield very natural-looking results. Do a little research before choosing the right plastic surgeon’s office or med spa for your injections to help ensure that you get the smooth, natural-looking results you want.
Botox is a neuromodulator and does have the potential to immobilize muscles if it is not administered by an expert with impeccable injection technique. That's why it is so important to find a board-certified dermatologist to administer your Botox. No matter where it is injected and for whatever reason, Botox should always allow your face to move normally and expressively. Please find a board-certified dermatologist to help you fix your drooping nose with Botox.
The only time you get a “frozen” look with Botox is when the injector has injected too much Botox into an area. Although a patient may request a completely frozen look, this is an extremely rare preference. This is why it's so important to always find an expert for your cosmetic procedures. Any time you have to break the skin and/or deal with nerves and muscles, you cannot take your chances with someone who does not have a medical background. Botox can create quite a satisfying “lift” to the nose by relaxing the muscles that pull the nose downward. Which ones should be treated may vary based on the type of nose droop you have. Please take the time to find a board-certified dermatologist who is an expert injector for your Botox nose lift.
Thank you for your question. Botox is placed along the sides of the nose to help improve either a gummy smile or the “bunny lines”. This will not freeze your face. I recommend having a consultation with an expert injector to discuss your concerns and desires. Best of Luck!
rananazih,The effects of Botox will be in the area in which it is placed. If Botox placed in the lines on the side of your nose (bunny lines), will only target that area on the side of your nose. It will not lift your nose or freeze the other areas of your face. Best of luck!Dr. Edween

Thank you for your question. Yes, it should be safe 6 months after rhinoplasty surgery to have Botox. However, Botox cannot cause indentations in the nose. The indentations are most likely the result of your surgery and swelling. It can take up to 1 year to see final results after having...
I am really sorry to hear that you are having this issue after Botox injections at the chin area. It is hard to comment without seeing before and after pictures of you smiling. Rarely, Botox at the chin area can affect muscles responsible for smiling. The good news is that Botox ...
