I had my nose open rhinoplasty 6 months ago. I had bunny lines done 4 months after rhinoplasty and it caused indentation? I'm due my botox again and was thinking 6 months after if it will be ok ? To have in my tip to give a slight lift and why would I have got indentation last time ? Thank you
Answer: PATIENCE After a rhinoplasty, the tissues are fused and stuck down as collagen regeneration proceeds to maturation. Think of the fibers of collagen as spaghetti in a bowl all mixed up in a lump. 24/7 the collagen fibers are reabsorbed and regenerated. As the months go by the new collagen is rearranged in parallel like spaghetti in the box. At this point the fibers can slide back and forth. if you rub a finger over the nose, you will feel the skin glide back and forth, typically at a year or more. Injecting botox before the skin can glide, can cause unexpected asymmetries. It would be prudent to wait until you have mobility in the skin before your next injection. Pre-tip edema may take over a year to resolve. Botox will not lift the tip as a general rule.

Botox cannot cause indentations or make the nasal bone and cartilage go away. I would suggest to you that indents are the results of surgery and swelling. The final results of rhinoplasty occur at 1 year when all the swelling is gone.
