What's the best treatment for fine lines and thin wrinkles? Mostly under eyes and cheeks seen when skin is pulled (smiling). From sun damage and aging. Would Botox work or more like a skin cream?
Answer: Wrinkles around eyes I would recommend a combination treatment. The Botox would help with wrinkles around the eyes (crow's feet) especially when you smile. The wrinkles in the cheeks would need a tightening treatment to increase the collagen to soften the lines. There are many options including lasers, RF devices, and microneedling, and PRP. Because you have some age spots, I would recommend a laser (I use Fraxel) which would soften the wrinkles and get rid of the age spots.

CONTACT NOW Answer: Treatments for Facial Wrinkles and Sun Damage Thank you for sharing your question. Botox is an excellent way to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes. This treatment involves several small injections around eyes to lines that are commonly referred to as “crow’s feet”. If you are more concerned about sun damaged and aging skin, I highly recommend a laser resurfacing treatment with a machine such as the Sciton Halo. This laser is a hybrid, fractionated laser that works to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, brown spots, pore size, and even reverses sun damage. This is one of the most popular treatments in my practice because there is very little down time associated with the procedure and the results are fantastic. Many of my patients repeat this treatment once a year as skin maintenance. I recommend consulting with a board-certified specialist who has experience with both Botox injections and the Sciton Halo Laser.

Answer: Botox for crow's feet These lines are natural expression lines and can be easily rectified with Botox. Botox will inhibit the expression in what we call the 'crow's feet' so that these lines will be temporarily diminished. Results last from 3-6 months. For a more natural approach and to address signs of sun damage you could try the 111SKIN Celestial black diamond eye cream which will help to reduce the fine lines around the area as well as puffiness and dark circles.

Answer: Botox Works For Reducing Dynamic Wrinkle Lines; Biostimulatory Fillers Help Tighten Crepey Skin At Rest Although you only provided one photo while smiling, there clearly seem to be two components to the wrinkling you have: the dynamic crow's feet emphasized by smiling, and a more generalized crepey appearance overall within the same aesthetic unit and extending down the cheek somewhat, which I suspect is quite evident at rest (static crinkling), as well. The latter, the static component, can be addressed with the appropriate use of a filler designed for stimulating bio-remodeling, such as Skin Boosters, which I would use in my Israel satellite facility, where it is regulatory agency approved and Belotero Balance, which I would choose in my Upper East Side Manhattan practice. Fanned through crow's feet and upper outer cheek region, or injected in microdroplets in a grid pattern, this kind of treatment typically results in immedate, improved skin hydration and new, native collagen, both of which lead to skin tightening. Following this, Botox injected into the crow's feet regions themselves will handle the motion-related wrinkling you dislike. Finally, an at-home regimen of sunscreen and prescription-strength topical retinoids and alpha hydroxy acids should help to maintain and prolong the improvements achieved with the above and with time improve the overall clarity, tone and superficial texture of your skin. Make sure you consult with a board certified aesthetic dermatologist who can help you with each of these issues. Best of luck to you.
