Hello and thank you for your question. A formal evaluation would be needed to determine the best treatment. There are both surgical and non-surgical options to correct this. We can place a chin implant, which is a quick surgical procedure. Many of my patients try to avoid surgery, however, so for those patients, we also offer non-surgical chin augmentation with injectable fillers. Fillers like Radiesse, Voluma, BellaFill, and Sculptra are injected into the area to improve the overall appearance of the lower face and balance the jaw and lip harmony. We use cannula injections to meticulously contour and project the chin, soften the chin along the jawline, and improve the chin crease.Implants are a great option once you are ready for permanent chin enhancement. I suggest getting a consultation with an experienced cosmetic dermatologist and facial sculpting expert, or an aesthetic facial plastic surgeon like Dr. Donald Groves; we are both located right here in Los Angeles. The sliding genioplasty is a more complex procedure with a larger incision with screw placement. A chin implant is much more simple, it comes is varies sizes and can be place intra-orally with minimal down time.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
Hello, hope you are well. There are many advantages to implants over sliding genioplasty, and for those reasons an implant is generally preferable when it is a suitable option for the individual. A chin implant can be performed in the office under local anesthesia with no visible scar, minimal downtime, and a lower risk profile in comparison to a sliding genioplasty. Based on your photos, a chin implant would likely be a good option, but we can't see your chin projection in relation to your nose and forehead.Best,Dr. Tower
The advantage of a silicone implant is its relative simplicity and lack of complications compared to a sliding genioplasty. A sliding genioplasty is generally best for very severe cases, however, without seeing the rest of your face to assess proportions, to say that one method is better than the other specifically for you is impossible.I would advise you to go to a board certified plastic surgeon with a good eye for the best results.Best of luck !

I'm not sure what you mean exactly by "lifting the chin" of why you had the implant removed in the first place. If it was removed right, they probably closed the tissues on top of your bone such that you could get filler again. I'm not sure what removing the skin under the chin would do. And...
