I would like to avoid having to move my whole chin forward but would that be the only solution to fix my lips not lining up? Or is my recession not bad enough where a chin implant still would be an improvement?

Yes, chin implants can be replaced. It is usually done through an oral approach. It is possible that the silicone implant has fractured and that is where the wings are coming from. It can be safely removed and another implant can be placed.
