I just had a breast lift 3 weeks ago and I noticed a couple days ago that I have an open wound would the wound expand more and get bigger ? Is it infected ? What can I put on it to heal faster
Answer: Infected or not? Your pictures show a wound dehiscence at the inframammary trifurcation, which is a common complication of mastopexy. It is usually minor and will heal in within a few weeks with conservative care. I do not think you have an infection, but you should discuss with your plastic surgeon.

Answer: Breasts You need to be seen by your surgeon and cultures can be taken to see if you need antibiotics. You do need to be instructed in proper wound care. This is not normal.

Answer: Breast lift Dear selena201230, this type of wound is not uncommon after breast lift. It is usually caused by poor blood flow. I would suggest you to consult your plastic surgeon, follow your surgeon's instructions and keep your wound clean and covered. It can take few weeks or months for wound to fully heal.
