3 months post op breast uplift, spitting stitches and it's getting worse. PS says it's normal. Advice? (photos)

Question

Spitting stitches on both breasts after uplift. They started off as small ulcer looking sores which have now got a lot bigger and constantly weeping and bleeding. Been to my surgeon twice now who says this is normal?! Is there anything I can do to make this better and is this normal?

spitting sutures can occur after breast lift. In most cases it resolves with time. However, sometimes surgeon needs to remove the stitch in order for wound to heal. i would suggest you to discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon.

No, it is not normal for the incisions to still be open at this point in time. I would suggest asking your surgeon to obtain a wound culture. You might also increase the protein, vitamin C, and zinc in your diet.
