Can an areola be fixed to look rounder after a breast lift? (photos)

Question

I explanted and the surgeon suggested a lollipop lift. My right breast from the start came out great but the left was more painful and the scars thicker. Now I have a real ugly shape left nipple as well. Is it possible to make the nipple rounder a year from surgery? I’m 10 weeks post up.

Thank you for your picture and questions. I think that with an explant, the issue with the areola shape and appearance is not so much an issue with the scar not being rounded but with there being a loss of volume underneath the nipple which is creating a "caved-in" appearance. I would discuss the possibility of something to correct the volume deficiency such as fat grafting. If when you push on the skin around the nipple, it rounds out, then you have a volume problem, not a scar problem. Discuss the options with your surgeon.Best of luck!Dallas R. Dear dg4865,
it is hard to tell for sure without an examination, but based on your photos it it most likely that you have some scar tissue under the areola which is pulling it. Also, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.
Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively.At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides  you will be able to see the final result of your surgery. If this remains the same, you might need a revision surgery in order to correct it.

Scar revision or revision lift can be done to make the areola look rounder. Yes, your areola can be revised, but I would recommend to wait six months, because it is too early to determine your final results.

Even with the poorly exposed 1 posted photo you can have revision of the N/A to be rounder. But in person examination required before finial steps toward revision surgery.

First, I would wait at least 6 months for the tissues to soften and to see how the shape changes. It then is possible of adjust the circle if necessary.  If there is not enough tissue to do so( let's say short on the height or width, then perhaps tattooing is an option.
